Wow. Bucs fire Lovie Smith. Surprise firing of this season.

Chip Kelly suitor or do they go after Gase or promote OC?

This is huge. He is a fantastic D coordinator with a wealth of HC experience would be a tremendous hire for anybody looking for a DC.

If I am the Eagles hire Frank Reich as OC with Gase as HC and try to convince Lovie Smith to coach the Eagles D.

That would be an outstanding staff on paper. Alas a poor pipe dream...

Chip Kelly with a high pick and Jameis could be interesting. Not sure they would be interested though.

I can definitely see them promoting their OC Dirk Koetter though. Teams have been looking at him and I think the players like him as well.

AFC East and NFC West only cross every 4 years. Pats were here in 2012, Seattle is in NE next season.

Thinking about doing a trip out to Boston for the game. Hopefully it's an October/November prime time

I was unfortunate and dumb enough to not buy tickets that season when the Pats were in town. I guess I wasn't really fully paying attention when the schedule came out and lost track. One of the things on my bucket list is to see Tom Brady play live.

Here's two asinine predictions:

Carolina goes one and done

Vikings whoop Seattle

I saw on Sportsnet that Lynch is expected to play.

Beast mode against AP: One of the best running back match ups we've seen in a long time....

As a Bills fan, I have a soft spot for Frank Reich. I hope he gets a the job.

A former Bills QB, coaching a former Sooners' QB who just happens to be a Canuck fan? I might have to start cheering for the Eagles...(at least, in the NFC)

Lynch ruled out. Vikings catch a huge break. Freezing temperatures. Beast mode running it straight up would've helped tremendously considering the forecast. Now it'll be all on Wilson to do it in that weather.

...Vikings have a fair shot at winning it because of this IMHO. Legitimately a game changer.

He got a raw deal from the Chargers hearing they might bring back the Whiz. The injuries really piled up this year.

I have a feeling though if Bradford stays no matter the new head coach he seems to really like Pat Shurmur and wants to stay in the same system to see how much he can improve next year.

All that however depends on how much money and term he wants. Hard contract to figure out with his lengthy injury history.

If anyone can fix Colin Kaeperknick again it is Chip Kelly. If he can't get his hands on Mariota I have a strong feeling the 49ers give him a chance to work with Kaepernick if he can convince them he has learned from the Philly experience and is more adaptable.

Nevermind. Dalton is out and McCarron is starting. Bengals actually have a chance then : p

DeAngelo Williams is out and he had a big role.

Steelers offense is better this year but still they need balance. Without Bell last year the Ravens beat them and I expect the Bengals to finally get a playoff win.

So Jon Gruden wants the Eagles job!? Wow. That would be very interesting. That's a football guy I'd want on my team.

No its a conflicting report. Gruden likes his cushy Monday Night gig. They pay him pretty good and he is a decent commentator when not talking about spider 2 wide banana.

Apparently Eagles have competition for the top candidate Adam Gase because the Dolphins are trying to woo him over before he gets back for a second interview some time this next week.

I wonder if Gase got hired with the Eagles if he could lure Alshon Jeffrey away from the Bears and Brock Osweiler to come in and be his qb since he helped develop him in Denver.

If the Eagles got Jeffrey and Osweiller I would be really excitied but I just don't think they have the cap space to be spending big dollars again after handing out boneheaded contracts to Demarco Murray and Byron Maxwell last year.

For this weekend, why are both the AFC games on Sat and both NFC on Sun, if I'm not mistaken, they used to have one each.

I wonder that too.

Big News on Marshawn Lynch.. he is officially designated as OUT for the Vikings game.

Rumor he tweaked something playing basketball after practice and didn't want to make it worse by playing in the frigid temperatures on Sunday in what could be the modern version of the infamous Ice Bowl game.

Christine Michael did a pretty good "BEAST MODE" impersonation against the Arizona d last week so I think Seattle will be fine.

This is not a big deal unless Seattle somehow loses and it is because they failed to establish any balance between run and pass and Russel Wilson had to throw the ball 40 times or something crazy.

Lynch Michael > Michael Brown

Not saying it doesn't suck, but Hawks have been winning just fine without him. If Seattle can keep from turning the ball over in the cold this should be a cakewalk. Probably saving himself for Carolina.

Smart move. Even without Lynch if the Vikings somehow pull it out it will be a HUGE upset probably the biggest in quite a few years.

Since Packers Falcons?

I think saving himself for Carolina is a bit of a stretch actually. The man likes to compete. Why make your first game back from hernia surgery a game inside a freezer if you might be rushing it a bit anyways? Never heard the basketball thing though.
