Canadian
Its been lacking all season. Was hoping it was just timing. Now I'm starting to wonder. Is it.... a - Lulay b - Receivers dropping balls / running wrong routes c - Poor play-calling It's been very obvious in Quarters 2 - 4 in the last two weeks that something is amiss..... Bruce Boudreau
I would say all of the above. The American talent is not playing up to snuff. With the investment in all the American "imports and internationals" on the offence you would think they would be better. The defence is soft and is playing timid no aggression in the secondary terrible tackling and coverage. D-lline can't stop the run and can't consistently get a pass rush. Offence receivers are struggling to make plays mixture of bad play calls lack of talent and Lulay playing bad the last two games. Emmanuel Arceneaux has been a ghost/hologram. Give guys a chance who are not afraid to attack the ball and make tough contested plays. Give a Canadian like Stephen Adekolu a chance he is a big body and can actually jump up to catch the ball in the air instead of waiting for it to land right in his hands. Same goes for Bryan Burnham. Courtney Taylor and Austin Collie are good possession receivers but they don't have the speed to be a threat consistently on the deep ball. Meanwhile Arceneaux is pretty useless unless you get him the ball on the run moving in some space. Edited July 31, 2015 by Chip Kelly
-DLC-
Hockey has bad refs. The CFL has bad refs. The NBA has bad refs. Every professional sports league has bad refs. Maybe it's because refs aren't robots? That's weak though...they ARE at a professional level in sports and need to be better/more consistent. They're interfering FAR too much in the outcome of games. Sports was better when the refs weren't involved in every play. Let them play and if a blatant infraction occurs then intervene. Let the minor stuff go. -DLC-
With that, the officiating is not why we lost....the Bombers played a better/tighter game. The team's got to be more consistent.

Let the minor stuff go. They're only human. They're about as consistent as you can get, outside of obvious rigged games which also occur in every league. (canucks/sharks 2013 series, Kings vs Lakers NBA WCF finals, 2002 world cup for korea) notable examples. Their job is to interfere and to properly effect the outcome of games. Do you mean when teams who played the dirtiest won more games? Like how do you even define what a blatant infraction is vs a minor thing?
Heretic
Or maybe instead of the refs being blind - it's really the fans. I think that was the first game this year in which the Bombers didn't have the most penalties. I missed the first quarter, but the rest looked like it was called just fine. DonLever
Keep this up and the BC Lions will be drawing flies at BC Place. Last home game at BC Place only drew 20,000 fans; the lowest since 2002. BTW, why do they no longer have a half time show on the field? They only have some guys yapping about the 1st half on the screen.
Tom Sestito
The Lions have no idea how to market and they fully believe that their dominance of the 45-130 year old range in the sport market is going to keep them strong. Sure the Lions have high TV numbers, but to young people they're far and away the 3rd most important team in BC and that's reflective of their marketing ability. Ever since Bob Ackles' passing, the club has been spinning its wheels. They should hand out player cards, have other players besides Harris make public appearances. They should also ditch the high-school helmet look by putting a black-orange-black stripe on those white lids with a matching one on the pants. Gurn
Are Bighill and Elliminiam(sp) still on the team. Man I remember how they would rush the passer and quite often sack him. Damm I miss those guys.

NucksPatsFan
When I was in elementary school, the BC Lions would send a few players around to the suburban elementary schools and spend a couple hours in the gym talking and playing games and then would hand out bc lions player cards (of themselves) and sign them. They'd also send us home with coupons for 2 for 1 tickets, or buy 4 tickets and get a free hotdog and drink at the game, etc. The BC Lions used to do so much community work and be involved, and it made family's want to go to games. It was also a lot more affordable back then (2 tickets for 24$ at 7/11).
RonMexico
Sometimes teams suck and the Lions are sucking right now. However, the Lions also went 0-6 once and won the Grey Cup that season. Such is life in a small league. *NFL/CFL gripe removed* Edited July 31, 2015 by RonMexico

the last outlaw
Time for Wally go to as his expiry date has past. Lions need to make major shakeup and start with Wally. Tedford is proving to be a terrible hire. The guy may have been a great coach in college but coaching in the pros is a whole different beast. Wally's 2 coaching hires in Benevides and Tedford are failures. Lions once had a feared D and look at them now. Washington has been terrible DC, not making the correct adjustments and over coaching.
