Grapefruits
Looks like they finally listened to fans. Only one Thursday night game, will have to book the Friday off work. 4pm starts on Saturdays are great as well. Trip DT for the Lions game and then hit up a concert or comedian at night. 5 weeks between home games is gonna suck, but for the most part, best schedule I've seen as a season ticket holder. http://www.bclions.com/2016/02/17/2016schedule/?camefrom=EMCL_966687_38326908 Edited February 20, 2016 by Grapefruits

Running backs for daaaays. They also signed Detroit Lion draft bust Mikel Leshoure. These are all power backs only Rainey and Shaq Murray are speed guys. Will be hard to keep all 3. I think Anthony Allen has leg up on other Americans not named Rainey. Allen is a better CFL back than Jermiah Johnson. Will be a great training camp comp. Team seems set at wr with one or two battles for the American spots.

Grapefruits
Was going through my emails today. Received this one from The Lions: Thank you for your support as a BC Lions Season Ticket Member! The 2016 season is just around the corner and we wanted to get in touch. Brand new for this season, you are now able to indicate the names you would like displayed on each season ticket card! Please fill out THIS SURVEY indicating your preferences prior to Wednesday, April 27th. Please enter your account ID. It's about time. Still don't understand why they couldn't do this in the past with the tickets without splitting the account. the last outlaw
Sounds like Lions are going back to having black in their uniforms. http://vancouversun.com/sports/football/cfl/bc-lions/lions-heading-back-to-black Quote For every diehard who believes it's the man who makes the clothes, you'll find another who gets agitated by the cut and the colour and can get into a heated discussion about what makes a truly classic uniform. With the Canadian Football League set to unveil new duds for all nine teams on May 12, marking the change of partnership supplier to Adidas from Reebok, fashionistas who follow the B.C. Lions are hinting on social media about a back to black shift. "Darth Vader with some orange striping ... looks to be an all-black looks with orange highlights ... have the Lions traded in orange as their primary colour?" If indeed the old black magic is back -- Lions executives, head coach Wally Buono and selected players have seen prototypes but are sworn to secrecy -- rap artists and Johnny Cash impersonators will be pleased. Black is not only slimming (according to houses of haute couture) it's menacing (Oakland Raiders, Pittsburgh Steelers, L.A Kings, Boston Bruins, New York Yankees pinstripes). The dark side of black? An analysis of National Football League and National Hockey League teams showed that those wearing black are penalized more. You see, black is also associated with evil and sinister deeds. It's an implied threat -- but perhaps something the Lions could use in a rebuilding year, coming off a 7-11 season and a fourth straight elimination in the first round of the playoffs. Although the Lions were virtually attired in burnt orange from head to toe when they first entered the CFL in 1954, they didn't win a Grey Cup until 10 years later, wearing black jerseys with white pants while flipping the colour scheme for road games. In recent years, the Lions have been "very clearly built around orange," according to Dennis Skulsky, now the team's interim president. Yet when the Lions celebrated their 60th anniversary game three years ago, they debuted special-occasion matte black helmets with gun metal grey jerseys and pants. Players found the look transforming; fans and most broadcasters less so, since the names and numbers were almost impossible to read. "I can't tell you anything until the (new) design comes out," Skulsky said Tuesday. "You'll have to wait until the unveiling. The one word I would eliminate from the discussion is `retro.' This is not about retro. This is more futuristic. I think ours have more changes than some of the others. It's more than just a jersey. It's the whole look, from top to bottom, from helmet to shoes and even the socks. "We're trying to hit a sweet spot, and it's not easy. Some fans don't want any change at all." In their colourful history, black and orange (adopted from the Meralomas football club, which was instrumental in their formation) have vied for dominance as the trend-setting colours on the Lions' fashion palette. After all, freedom of movement, flexibility, the ability to change looks and direction, is as essential for a marketing director as it is for a football player.
