No_More_Larchide
Anyone else think that spot was extremely generous in Hamiltons favor? Yup... surprised no booth challenge just to look at it. Such a big play.
Plum
I'm still not going to be happy after this loss. When you sleep for half the game, you lose this is what happened right now.

Plum
They can play like that in 1 quarter but not before the game? I don't understand if they think they're the best and can win whenever they want they are completely mistaken, we aren't even in the top 3 best team. I personally think we need a new offensive coordinator, secondary got us this close.

I personally think we need a new offensive coordinator, secondary got us this close. The Ticats were already in prevent defense already. Lulay had all day at the end to pick them apart. When they kept blitzing earlier in the game, our offense had no answer. I think I saw one screen pass today. Good job Chapdelaine.

Yeah, Ticats won because of the blitzing and so did Montreal last time we faced them. When Lulay has time he will finish drives resulting into points. pimpcurtly
Once again protecting Lulay is a serious issue. He can't keep getting hit like that. Boys need to get their crap together.

c00kies
how many yards did sheets get 65 rushing, 57 receiving. The Rider's O-line couldn't handle the blitz in the 2nd half and Durant got pummeled because of it. Edit: Bombers credited with 8 sacks. Grapefruits
Sunday, September 8th, 2013 BCLions.com Staff The BC Lions Football Club announced late this afternoon that they have acquired quarterback Buck Pierce from the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in exchange for non-import receiver Akeem Foster. “We are heading into a critical part of our schedule and we need to significantly improve as a football team,” said VP of football operations and GM Wally Buono. “Buck is a proven veteran quarterback, an accomplished starter and a leader who has taken his teams into the playoffs and to a championship game. He will also give us a needed veteran presence in support of Travis Lulay.” Pierce rejoins the Lions after spending five years in Orange from 2005-2009, making 34 starts and complying a 21-12-1 mark during that time. After joining the Bombers as a free agent in 2010, Pierce went on to appear in 33 games (32 as the starter). For his career, the New Mexico State product has thrown for 15,059 yards on 1,179 completions including 73 touchdowns and a 64.3 completion percentage. Foster departs the Lions after being drafted by the club in 2010 (4th round, 25th overall). The Ajax, Ontario native appeared in 43 games over four seasons hauling in 62 passes for 960 yards and nine touchdowns. “We wish Akeem the best in Winnipeg,” added Buono. “We appreciate his contributions both on and off the field and we believe this trade will give him a good opportunity to play on a regular basis.” ------------------------------------------------- Welcome back Buck. We didn't really give much to get him and we did need a quality back up, lets hope he can stay healthy. mrsasaki
I really hope Buck is just for the veteran leadership, and not actually because of his football abilities..
Captain Bob
Wow... Can't believe Buck is back. I don't think Lulay has anything to worry about though, but he's likely going to be the 2nd string. I wonder what will happen to DeMarco (and will he give up his number). Edit: Lions roster have him wearing #11. http://www.bclions.com/roster/index/team/
Lancaster
Buck is still a legit starting quarterback.... when healthy. In a limited role, he can be very effective, just like when he and Jarious Jackson were fighting for the starter's spot.
fanfor42
Buck and Travis get along well. This will be a good move for Lulay. A little healthy competition to keep him motivated and a friend to back him up. Wally knows what he is doing. Travis needed a little nudge. I would expect a couple more moves coming in the next week or so as Wally sends a message to this underachieving edition of the lions. Watch for a turnaround and the Lions to get hot down the stretch. Our turn to go to a rival in the western final and knock them out of appearing in their own Grey Cup. almo89
Maybe Buck can help see things for Travis on the sidelines that Travis can't see. I hope we don't have to resort to Buck. It makes you wonder what the team thinks of Demarco.
