ChuckNORRIS4Cup
I just saw a clip of this on TSN, yesterday on September 5th 2012, Legends from Canada played against Legends from Russia, in St. Petersburg. On Wednesday, at a reunion of the 1972 Summit Series teams, the Hall of Fame goaltender witnessed the enduring magnetic appeal of the greatest of games. Not only were players from those Canadian and Soviet Union teams of 40 years ago honoured at St. Petersburg's SKA Sports Palace, but many participants from the thrilling 1987 Canada Cup series faced off in an exhibition game. The final score was 7-5 for the Russian stars -- a team loaded with the likes of Pavel Bure, Alexander Mogilny, Igor Larionov and Sergei Makarov, taking on counterparts such as Wayne Gretzky, Mark Messier and Brett Hull -- but the outcome didn't matter. Hobble
Kudos to both nations on putting this together. I didn't have the honor to watch the 1972 Summit Series live, but I easily understand its significance.
Li'l Fra
Wow, Ronning! We don't have anyone on our team right now who can dangle and shoot like that. One of the best "little" guys to play the game. It's awesome to see how stoked Bure gets on Cliff's goals. And...there just ain't enough dude's named Cliff anymore. Does anyone know a Cliff? Venom52
Hull didn't even play for Canada during his NHL career. He shouldn't have been allowed to play in this game

ChuckNORRIS4Cup
I wonder if Cliff Ronning will be playing for team Canada in Toronto, on November 11th.
ChuckNORRIS4Cup
It'll actually be Team Doug Gilmour vs Team Bryan Trottier. I didn't see Cliff's name on the list of participants, but perhaps he may be playing.
