If its a full season forget it. But playing 3 month of hockey when all the other teams are well rested? Why not use the short year to the teams best advantage and turn it into glass half full situation. While the twins have 5 years maybe left... Why drop out on potential high picks ? You wouldn't want McKinnon?

No fricken way! Why would you write off a season just because it's shortened?

If anything it may benefit the Canucks. It would give Kesler more time to recover, plus the Canucks always seem to go on a tear halfway through the season. Which would end up being around playoff time if the season started in January.

This team aint tanking until they start to suck.

Sure; we can suspend the Twins for hangin out after curfew at the Roxy and getting fat?

Facepalm before the lock... :picard:

Short season: blip on the radar.... Regroup for the full season and use the short year to grab and stockpile on high draft picks??? Perhaps an opening to groom replacement players for the soon to be retired Sedins?

If there's a shorter season the odds of the Canucks winning the cup go up by quite a bit.

The biggest reason we haven't been able to win it all is consistency throughout the playoffs and a main reason for that is because we peak early in February and are too banged up and bruised by the playoffs to perform at that same level.

With an abbreviated season, hopefully our peak will match up with the playoffs and our players will be much fresher and less fatigued to win the Cup.
