im listening to older episodes of solomonster

listening to his june 9th edition and he's been bringing up randy orton quotes from interviews he's done with busted open and promoting that 12 rounds movie or whatever

i'm gaining much more respect for the guy for the stuff that he says. on his interview with busted open he was quoted saying he "can't cut a babyface promo where the crowd doesn't want to kill themselves 5 minutes in, sorry john" referring to john cena

Alex Rodriguez hires ex-WWE wrestler for security in Reading, Pa., rehab - don't get close

http://www.nj.com/yankees/index.ssf/2013/07/alex_rodriguez_hires_ex-wwe_wrestler_for_security_detail_in_rehab_in_reading_pa_--_dont_get_too_clos.html#incart_m-rpt-2

A warning to Yankees fans in Reading, Pa.: don't get too close to Alex Rodriguez or you're going to get suplexed.

David Jones of Pennlive.com shot video of the two men tasked with protecting A-Rod while he's rehabbing for the Trenton Thunder -- they're playing on Tuesday night in Reading -- and discovered one of them is Gene Snitsky, a former WWE wrestler who warned fans to "stay in the stands, cause if not, you might get hurt."

We wish were making this up.

Snitsky's stint included using a bell to, well, ring someone's bell (see the video below). And while you might think WWE wrestling isn't the real thing, just imagine facing a man listed at 6-foot-8 and 307 pounds according to Wikipedia and getting a move known simply as the "pumphandle slam."

It wasn't A-Rod's fault!

Personally I think Jericho has lost a lot steam with all these losses. Before he kind of seemed untouchable because of his history but he loses almost every match, every time he comes out you kinda know how it's gonna end. Like Cena, but the opposite.

I understand the reasoning behind his role; it's great of him to put on solid matches and get younger guys over and he doesn't need a title run (can't really have one with the schedule he wants to work) but I think eventually wins over Jericho are going to mean less and less. I feel like the crowd reactions to him are slowly dying down too.

Maybe it's just me.

Yeah somewhat, I dont like how he misses the Lionsault most of the time now and how he goes flying/twirling when someone gets out of the walls of jericho lol

his match at MITB, the crowd was hot for him. they all are on most nights, but when you have a 20 year career, you've done everything there is to possibly do, i can see how you feel the crowd reactions are "dying" but that's not really the case. chris will always be over no matter what. he doesn't need wins at this stage in his career, so of course they won't mean much, or anything at all. as long as he can still put on a good match and make the other guy look better, that's mostly what he cares about. it's good that he has a short little run with the company, come back and work with the younger guys to help get them some experience, then do the fozzy thing. one of the more successful veterans out there who have a life outside of wrestling

As a Jericho fan, I came to accept his role with the company. The only thing that bugs me is that when he returned in 2012, he should have won the Rumble that year, the only thing that's missing in his Hall of Fame career.

Plus, I don't think fans mind seeing him lose all the time, because he's willing to put young stars over and they know their going to get their money worth, when he's in the ring; win, lose, or draw.
