Danthecanucksfan
Despite Luongo not being able to get it done as a player, I would not be suprised if he became a sucessful GM in the NHL. I think Luongo would make a great GM and I would be more than happy to see him as the GM of our Vancouver Canucks.
etsen3
I also think Bieksa would make a good GM. Educated, well-spoken, good leadership, likeable, good with the media. Ideally his aggressive play on the ice would also show in the way he makes deals.

Danthecanucksfan
What do you mean "not being able to get it done"? Hasn't he been nominated for the Vezina like three times, been the starter of the Olympic winning team and been a Hart nominee?

CanucksSayEh
Out of the current nucks I would say Hamhuis. I like the idea of a local guy in charge, he may be more inclined to draft/sign BC boys. Its cool to have a team drawing from their own well, a sense of home pride. RUPERTKBD
I'd pick Bieksa, nice guy who does a ton for the community. He'd be a good GM.

bossram
Probably Cory Schneider. He's already got a degree, involved in law/business, player rep for the union and seems like a generally knowledgeable smart, level-headed guy.

Canuck Surfer
Bieksa; GM for Yuk Yuk's downtown which never seems to be open. Can always take the stage if he can't find talent. I can see the spoof's on "Off The Record..." or doing versions of "Wayne's World" in a lumberjack jacket. In seriousness; G Courtnall. Amongst other contributions he introduced Aquillini to Mike Gillis. He already has success in various ventures, knows how to run them, maintain relationships, negotiate and has credibility in both business and hockey circles not to mention our Vancouver market.
