Rate The Last Movie You Saw - 2

Oppenheimer 7/10, I found the jumping around and non-linear timeline a bit hard to follow at times, for a biography you weren't always sure which point in his life was being represented. Otherwise it was a great movie.

I also don't like Nolan's sound mixing. Once again he has the music drowning out the dialogue in a lot of scenes.

The Plane 8/10

Good action movie.Fast flowing from beginning to end. Certainly not groundbreaking, but fun

Guardians Of The Galaxy 3. 7/10

For the first hour ,the movie moves at a glacial pace.  Very slow.

Pace picks up in the 2nd half.

Living

A slow, small movie that I found quite touching.

An elderly British civil servant, in the fifties, plugging away at his routine job, learns that he is dying.  How he reacts to the news is the substance of the movie.

Terrific acting job by Bill Nighy.

4*/5.   Available on Crave.

The Pope's Exorcist

Any horror movie involving an exorcist immediately has a strike against it - it simply can't compete with William Friedkin's original "The Exorcist".

And this is true of this movie.  Starring Russell Crowe, it's not bad, with the usual projectile vomiting and throwing people around.  (Speaking of which, I was reading some comments about the movie and someone noted:  Why can demons like these throw people across the room without touching them but they can't get out of bed?  Good question.)

Three stars out of five.   Available on Crave.

Singles - 8/10.

It takes me back to a different time.

31 years ago was a different time and things have changed. 1992 to me seem like 15-20 years ago or at least the late 90s being 15-20 years ago. How time flies!

I moved to Seattle in 2001 to start college before my 18th birthday. And how time flies for that!

If you have not seen this movie, I recommend it.

Nobody

From the makers of John Wick.

A much more " believable" character.

Bloody good movie.

@UnkNuk I was telling @bishopshodan about this movie

Sca Jo's character, Lucy,  has a packet of a drug implanted in her that bursts and enables her to use 100 percent of her brain.

IRL

" Lucy " is the name that has been given to a collection of bones, female  who was a member of the genus Homo or a small australopithecine that lived over 3 million years ago.

Big fan of Sca Jo and the plot of this movie.

Morgan Freeman is also in it.

The Evil Dead (1981)

Not quite Exorcist scary, but pretty good with over the top gore, scary eyes and excesses of tomato ketchup.

7.5/10

Bonafide cult classic. Very well done.

Scary, funny and weird.
