:D
The reviews haven't been great, but I'm stoked for Ender's Game
MillerGenuineDraft
Captain Phillips was pretty solid. Would recommend it. 8.
NightHawkSniper
So weird, I just saw it like 2 days ago literally! 6/10 It was okay. Some of the jokes were overdone and repetitive depends on your sense of humor. Some of the gay jokes about Franco just seemed to all come back to the roast and all that. Michael Cera was the best at not being himself. I wish Aziz had more of a part in it.
Bruce Boudreau
Michael Cera was the best at not being himself. I wish Aziz had more of a part in it. That movie had the potential to be much better. But it had its bits. Danny McBride was solid as always.
:D
Saw Ender's Game tonight. I had read the book years back (just the first one) and was very excited for this one and my expectations were huge coming in. That being said, I was worried that they were going to rush and skip stuff I liked in order to get it all in under two hours. Well, they did. My favourite parts of the book were the battles and Ender's rise from new cadet to master soldier/strategist. A lot of what was explained over several chapters in the book was just glossed right over. Things like shooting your own legs (freezing them) to provide a shield as you came down on someone firing up at you. I loved that stuff. All in all, it was a solid sci-fi flick but it was a great book and I was a little disappointed. 7/10 Edit: Like I said, I haven't read the series past the first book but I assume it is a bunch of Ender moaning about killing the aliens. aGENT
Watched this last night. Good, gritty drama/action flick and above the standard mindless action stuff Statham is usually in. He still plays a "badass" but there's actual substance to the movie. Recomment 7.5/
Tangelos
Peeples. 6/10 Not good but not bad. Just a typical meet the parents type comedy. Didn't even know it was a Tyler Perry movie, though I should have known since there was not a single white guy to be found

NightHawkSniper
Huh. Haven't heard that before. First for everything, I suppose. I just thought it was weird that out of nowhere Chigurh knows where Wells is and how does Chigurh fit behind an open doorframe with the silenced shotgun and the suitcase? kodos
Blue Jasmine. 7/10, would be lower if it weren't for Cate Blanchett's performance. Pretty disappointed with Louis C.K. (not that he had a ton to work with), pretty impressed with Dice.
