RAMBUTANS
It is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles; if you do not know your enemies but do know yourself, you will win one and lose one; if you do not know your enemies nor yourself, you will be imperiled in every single battle. -Sun Tzu-
Where's Wellwood
As one of the biggest Coiler haters on the planet living and dealing with this myopic Alberta fanbase i have to completely disagree. That team has some serious potential in the league. Tambellini is doing just fine . All they really need is actual defensemen lol.
Mr.DirtyDangles
Justin Shultz. What the Oilers really need is goaltending.
canucks.brad
every team goes through bad seasons. at the end of the day, only 8 teams can make the playoffs in the west. 1996-2000 the canucks failed to make the playoffs. in essence, they were the best of the worst, and never getting the 1st overall pick (yes we got the sedins in 1999) and even then, we didnt advance past the semi-finals until 2011. the oilers on the other hand have collected a fine group of prospects, lucked out on the 1st pick last year and well, are going to be a scary team. they went through a dark time where people didnt want to play there, but now, they will be a great time. cycles my friend. look at colorado. mbal23
The Quebec Nordiques of 1989 (Sundin) 1990 (Nolan) 1991 (Lindros) say hi. Perhaps you could help me out a little and let me know how I put you on ignore? Thank you in advance.
Johnny Shotgun
Doesn't matter how good/badass they are NO Canadian based team will ever hoist the Stanley Cup under Bettman's reign of bungling. NBC has him and the National Hokey League in their pockets and they are not interested in allowing a Canadian team play in the finals even storied franchaises rich in history and hockey lore such is their lack of hockey interest. its all about thumping the chest of the USA and rating/advertising revenue. Johnny Shotgun
If the NHL and NBC somehow had the ability to keep Canadian teams out of the finals, then how has a Canadian team made the finals 4 out of the last 7 seasons?
DSVII
By Baddest, I thought you meant bada$$ haha. If Edmonton doesn't do anything to wreck their current prospect pool, they can easily be contenders in five years.
Guest Gumballthechewy
That true and obviously i didn't think it through, however the fact remains Canadian teams in the finals skate uphill. No Cups since he took control.

VanNuck
All the Oilers need is to simply make two trades and they'll suddenly become Stanley Cup contenders. If they dealt excess forwards for better blueliners and maybe brought back Roloson to mentor Dubnyk, and help for the playoffs, they'll go back to the 1980s. And I want to see them win a Cup before Smyth retires.
