brewdog
Glad to see him back on the ice. Certainly less than he wanted, but I hope this is the start of a new trend where 3rd-year players don't automatically get $30M/6-year contracts. Pears
Adam Proteau ‏@Proteautype Canadians sign P.K. Subban to a 2-year contract. Meanwhile, Flyers owner Ed Snider offered a 7-year, $110-million deal to Chris Campoli.
theminister
Two years for him to grow up and learn to play within himself. He's got great untapped potential but he needs to harness it better if he wants the big payday.
qwijibo
Don't look know but Montreal suddenly has a very strong top 6 with Subban, a healthy Markov, the shot blocking machibe Gorges and the emergence of the young guys Emelin and Diaz(who shares the scoring lead for Montreal with Markov)
stawns
Over the last 2-3 years GM's have been bending over for these young RFA guys, yet the teams have all the power. Good on MB for using his leverage the way he's supposed to. PK thought they would cave, but really he had no options but to sign the deal the Habs offered. Trebreh
So? In 2 years he'll be an RFA and he'll have 2 years to prove that he deserves a $6M contract or whatever he was asking
stawns
Yeah its a joke. And I know, he tries to hard. Although sometimes I admit I crack a bit.
PlayStation
Subban got ripped off compared to what other dmen are making, and for the amount he brings to the team.
-Vintage Canuck-
@reporterchris The #Habs and Subban could be back talking about a contract extension as soon as this summer. Another potential battle looms.
Dion Phaneuf
Subban could have easily gotten 3.5 - 4.5 M for two years. IMO. Nonetheless, I'm glad he's back.
Tru_Knyte
Good signing for them. Rushed home after work to pick him up for my fantasy team.

votrechien
Wow, at first I thought it was $5.75m per and I thought 4.5m would have been more appropriate. Great signing for montreal.
Mookie Wilson
Subban must've caved. I bet MTL would've offered that in July 2011.
7thMan
Subban is worth way more than that. Someone could have given him a $3.1 million offer sheet and only had to give up a second round pick.

sharnhayre
Montreal is starting to play well, the addition of PK will only help them. Markov has come back playing well. PK will add to this.
Dragonfruits
great job marc bergevin not caving and giving subban a home run contract make him prove he is a 5-6 million dollar d-man
laxgoalie
Finally!!! Thank you Bergevin. Cheap, for what Subban does for the Habs, and a short contract. Maybe a nice splash for a UFA this off season?
