Current Lineup:

Carter(86)-Bergeron(86)-Ryan(87).......Myers(88)-Martin(86)...........Ward(88)

Vanek(84)-Cogliano(82)-Cole(85).........Green(86)-Michalek(86).......Poulin(75)

Erne(76)-Helm(80)-Glencross(82)........Gervais(76)-Mcquaid(80)

Tyrell(78)-Steckel(76)-Nyquist(79)

This deadline, the Flyers made an effort to get younger and deeper. Although we gave up some valuable assets, we believe that our deals were worth it. We completely altered our bottom-six, with only 2 remaining players from pre-deadline.

We were happy to promote Cogliano to a top-6 position, as he has played great for us since being accuired. With Bergeron, Cogs, and Helm down the middle, we feel like our team has the speed to skate with anyone.

Glencross was also a big addition for us, as he gives us a fantastic option on the 3rd line and provides us with an insurance policy if we have any injuries in our top-6.

Erne and Nyquist also provide us with offensive depth and can play top-6 in case of injury. Both of these players are young, yet are both top-6 caliber from an offensive standpoint. Give them another year of so, and their defensive and physical games will catch up. With these two guys, we feel like our top-6 will be set for a very long time.

On defence, we were unable to acquire a veteran bottom pairing guy, so hopefully (*knock on wood*) we don't suffer any injuries in our top-4, although we feel Mcquaid would serve admirably, as soon as he returns from his own injury. Since we are so deep on forward, we could even throw a guy like Glencross back there who is a good all around player if need be.

Overall, we feel that we have an extremely deep lineup with speedy two-way centers, gritty, sniping wingers, and young future stars. We also believe that we have the best top-4 defence in the league who can skate with anyone, as well as hit and shut the opposition down. While Ward has had a couple of tough games, he has generally played outstanding for us.

Will the Flyer's capture their first Presidents trophy under H2's regime?

Looking forward to the playoffs!
