Green Building
Colorado played a really good hockey game today, especially Varlamov. If he isn't deflated over the Carcillo goal, the Lanche will give 'em a run for the money for sure. The Hawks were lucky to win today. Of course, it's not the first time I've thought that during this little run of theirs. I don't think they hit 17 wins straight, but they might get a point a game to match the Flyers. That would be more exciting. Hossa is out, and Sharp hurt, we'll see.
Nuxfanabroad
I remember the 79/80 Flyers going 33 or 35? games with at least a point. Then they lost to the NYI in gm6 OT(Robson's brilliant call for Bob Nystrom). Is this still the longest streak?

DownUndaCanuck
They are playing remarkable hockey top-to-bottom, and are winning games because of so many clutch plays by different people. These are all great signs for them for the playoffs. However, with Shaw, Hossa and Sharp are out their streak is over. This team hasn't dealt with injuries much yet, we'll see how their depth stacks up now. Meanwhile the Canucks are proving that guys like Schroeder, Raymond, Higgins and Hansen can step up if we have injuries to our top-6 already. With a few defenders banged up too like Ballard and Bieksa, we'll see if our defensive depth holds up too. That is the true sign of a Cup winner - adapting to injuries and depth to fill in the holes, because injuries will happen in the playoffs, especially to a skill-based, smaller Chicago team. bhawks21
I dont need to explain how well they're doing but look at their next few games, they need 8 more to break and 7 to tie penguins record of 17 in a row WIN 1.Avs /good chance of winning 2.Avs /again 3.Oilers / good chance of winning 4.Cbj /have struggled against them but still should win 5.Stars /another average team 6.Avs /again... 7.Ducks / gonna be a good game 8.Kings / probably a win With a few games coming up that they should won, people win start talking about the records and dont be surprised if the refs make sure it happens. pimpcurtly
They sure are getting a lot of play on the Dan Patrick show...that's when you know you've hot the big time lol. What's really been impressive about this run is that you can bet every team they play, really really wants to be the team to break the streak. So they are, most likely, getting the best from everyone. Albeit some of the teams aren't nearly as skilled to begin with but for the blackhawks not to slip up even once is getting pretty unreal. Safe to say the are cup favorites now. Us Canucks fans know how that goes.

Coconuts
Nah, I don't think they will. I think one of these teams is going to surprise them.
pimpcurtly
I'm enjoying this run but by no means do I think we're a lock for the Stanley Cup. I think we have a decent shot if we can stay realtively healthy, but as we all know anything can happen in the playoffs.

VanNuck
It will be hilarious when they crash and burn in the playoffs. Then no one will remember this little streak.
canucks#01fan
Game two against avs tomorrow, i predict the poll leaning towards "no" which it is, then after a dew more wins, it will shift towards "yes", because CDC like to change their opinions
