Everybody Hates Raymond
Andy Strickland @andystrickland Allen stabilizes #stlblues...McDonald still not close...Arnott could sign as soon as Sunday or Monday truehockey.com/articles/Allen… What a shame if true. Hope Gillis is actively pursuing a centre via trade UPDATE: As per Brad Ziemer of the Vancouver Sun (on mobile so I can't post the tweet), Vancouver and St. Louis are passing on Arnott. DownUndaCanuck
We desperately need a center right now, especially a big and physical one with veteran experience and as bad as Arnott may be - he fits that bill to a tee. The perfect replacement for Malhotra, essentially a better version of Manny. With our injuries right now: Sedin - Sedin - Burrows Raymond - Higgins - Hansen (Higgy is far better at center than Raymond) Booth - Lapierre - Kassian Weise - Arnott - Sestito/whoever they call up to replace him. Schroeder's time here is done I'm afraid.
Everybody Hates Raymond
Hows that a shame? Arnott sucks now. I would hope Gillis is actively pursuing a centre via trade even if he was still a free agent

MayRayDown
He's a great playoff player and slots in a position the Canucks need filled
DeNiro
I could have seen Gillis signing this guy earlier in the season, not now though. With Kesler out, this team needs to go all in for a legit 2nd/3rd line center. That's the one thing that's messing up our offense right now. Apples
I wouldn't mind Arnott centering our second or third line. We could use a big and experience player right now
Durl Dixsun
The canucks dont need more old farts like Arnott. I hope he does sign with the Blues so people stop talking about signing him.
Ilya Mikheyev
At the beginning of the season, I liked the idea of Arnott to Van, but I can't possibly see him being able to keep up at this point, esp. since he failed the Rags physical!

Avicii
Still remember when i got into an arguement with DeNiro because he thought Arnott was "the perfect fit" for our 3rd line. Kept telling me he still has it in him to score points. This guy is the last guy we should be looking at. Old, can't skate, can't do anything efficiently except score tap ins or empty nets on the powerplay.
Topshelfer
Arnott is not what the Canucks are searching for. Not the same player he once was. I rather get Jagr if you're searching for players in that age group.
Dragonfruits
the funny thing is he put up 17g 17a last year but this year seems like he lacks the motivation to stay in the nhl hence the failed physical at the start of the season
TOMapleLaughs
If he doesn't pass evaluations at this point, it looks like it's over for him.

Spoosh
Even with the current questionable streak we're enjoying, this is actually good news to me. Not a big fan of taking chances on old veterans. Rarely pays off. And at this rate, we won't be needing a Stanley Cup winning presence in the locker room for a deep run in the playoffs this year. Sorry for momentarily loosing my faith. Restored now.
