So after the trade deadline can the CANUCKS ....

Recommended Posts

As RK17 said, we can already call up and send down players as we have the roster space and waivers allow. Waivers don't disappear after the trade deadline, so we wouldn't be free to just send down Barker, Alberts, Pinizzotto, etc. without risking losing them. I'm not sure how/if the rule has changed but there has been a limited number of callups available after the deadline (it was 4 under the last CBA) as well that we have to be aware of.

Both Lain and Jensen will be waiver exempt as they won't have played enough games by the end of the season. Lain is exempt for 3 seasons or 60 games, Jensen for 5 seasons or 160 games (whichever comes first, from the time the contract was signed.)

Essentially, if Jensen doesn't play this year, we can waive him as we like for the next 2 seasons.

Start bringing up and sending down players from the wolves to tryout like Jensen or lain without waivers situations?

If gillis passed on jokinen as a possible centre and doesn't do anything on the deadline who gets called up?
