Five For Fighting
This is the first time since NHLPA 93 that I won't be making the purchase. I barely played 13 and with GTA 5 coming out next Tuesday this will just collect dust.
Guest
I love the one touch dekes. Really helpful in a pinch. My buddy and I started a EASHL club tonight. Tons of fun playing 2v2 tonight. Some really close games.

Monty
I know I said that I wouldn't purchase NHL 14, but I may have to change my mind. I played it last night at my friend's place, and I haven't enjoyed an EA NHL game this much in quite a few years. It is a lot faster, the skating is a lot smoother. And I really like the fights that happen after a big hit. Whenever I was playing a season in previous years and another team would layout one of my star players, who would then get injured, I always wanted to go after the player that did it. However, it was next to impossible to track him down. Just more realistic now. For example, I was the Jets and my buddy was the Blackhawks. I absolutely layed out Hossa AND Leddy within about 1 second of each other with Byfuglien. Although typically not a fighter, Toews came in for retribution. He got destroyed, but it was still nice to see it happen.
Jägermeister
I caved in and bought it. Just been doing Live the Life so far, I love how they finally introduced awards for the CHL and AHL, under appreciated addition. The simulation is still ridiculous though, Tomas Kopecky won the Richard the first season with 46 goals...

Agreed the awards are a very nice touch im surprised they added them in also in Be A GM they now have an assistant coach control goalie switching which is one of the best features they added to that mode no more worrying about switching them yourself or playing them 82 games Yes the simulation does seem a bit weird for points and stuff in my first season Kipprusoff won the Vezina and Jennings as an 81 ovr One thing it looks like though they still haven't changed is the random players that are not signed by you in the AHL taking away icetime from your signed players this has been apart of the game since the beginning of BE A GM

I usually do 11 Cs, 9 LWs, 9 RWs, 16 Ds, and 5 Gs.

Best NHL game this gen IMO While I do agree with you that it is the best NHL game this gen (and because you quoted my post), NHL 14 is still not without its flaws, which should have been addressed several years ago. Still cannot extend players in the final year of their contract, the Live the Life feature is dated, the trades the CPU offers are the same over and over again, not a deep enough GM Mode in general. The improvements to the in game play are fantastic and standout; but the series is still far off from where it should be.

I remember last year in BAGM you could pick a player off waivers and continue to trade it back to the original team (they'll usually still want them back too) for draft picks and they'll place them on waivers again lol.
