Rick Grimes
Dennis Wideman has been placed on the block. Can't with win him, Can't lose without him it would seem, not happy about moving him, but he just doesn't seem to work in DET Looking to get a solid back up Goaltender - other than that, surprise me, youth is appreciated. Edit: Ugh, Robin "Ruined Prospect" Lehner, .... Whatever, Wideman must go.

Otis
To Max Pacioretty To Jakub Silfverberg, Austin Watson , 2015 NSH 1st rd pick Absolutely pumped to add Max to the organization, we feel that he was the exact missing piece for our organization to make a deep playoff run. With a 2nd line of Pacioretty-Ribeiro-Kadri we feel they can provide great support to our tremendous top line. Current Preds Lineup: Purcell-Backes-Wilson Pacioretty-Kadri-Pulkkinen Aberg-Lombardi-Beck Bourque-Latta-King Suter-Weber Seidenberg-Pulock Blum-Montador Engellend Rinne Budaj Injured: Ribeiro, Oshie, Spaling

gmen81
FORWARD OF THE MONTH Loui Eriksson(Stars)- Loui lead all players in scoring this past month with 7 goals and 12 assists in 13 games. Unfortunately for him he doesn't have much of a supporting cast, so he is doing all by himself. DEFENSEMAN OF THE MONTH Duncan Keith(Hawks)- Duncan actually finished tied for 2nd in scoring behind Eriksson in points this month, so it was an easy choice for top dman of the month. He had 6 goals and 10 assists in 14 games and was a +9. He also had 30 hits, 16 blocked shots and 16 takeaways. ROOKIE OF THE MONTH Valeri Nichuskin(Stars)- Valeri lead all rookies again this month with 5 goals and 3 assists in 13 games
Sidney Crosby.
For this new UFA rule of capping the amount of players one may sign based on the number of uFA your team has, what is classified as a NHL UFA? Does a player have to play a certain number of games? Do they have to play a certain amount for one team? Etc? Could I sign a player, play him for 5 NHL games and count him as one of my UFA players? I can definitely see teams, myself included, trying to add NHL UFA's this deadline so they can resign more players from their core... Lots of one year deals on the horizon A player like Tanner Glass has almost zero value to my franchise but with this new rule he could be quite valueable determining the number of UFA's that I can resign. UFAs are any players that are 27 and older IIRC. That strat will just inflate the price of rental/pending UFAs at the deadline, and teams are still limited by a 50-player limit. Xbox
UFAs are any players that are 27 and older IIRC. He is asking about the loopholes involved in the new system. For example, I can only sign 3 of my players because I have 9 pending UFAs. If I signed a random player who sucks or call up a scrub player, it would be to get to 10 contracts so I can sign 1 more big named player. He is just wondering if this is legal in the leagues new CBA. My vote is No.

My vote is No. Well if they're going to sign enough scrubs and play them a couple games just to use this tactic, their GM rep should just drop. No player is going to agree to a 5-game stint in the NHL just to get released at the end of the season.

Example: I called up Moore recently and he has played 5 NHL games. Lets say that Cizikus comes back and I aquire another forward at the deadline, and Moore only get 15 games in the NHL all season but finishes on my NHL roster. Is he classified as one of my NHL UFA's enabling me to resign more players?

What if a player is called up because of injury, ends up performing well - and is a UFA at the end of this season?

Just so at the trade deadline people don't try to get UFA's in trades just to get more of them on their rosters.

Intoewsables
Too many rules... Yeah, I don't like this at all. Just make it so UFAs ask for more money and term (like in real life) and teams will shy away from trying to lock up every single one of their quality UFAs. Xbox
We should do it just like the real NHL. Make the Salary Cap 64.3M (or whatever it is) and allow us to buy out 2 players without a penalty. When it comes to re-signing, do it like last year. With the lower cap, not every player would be able to re-sign, and the buyouts will also help the FA pool
AriGold
When I was doing my free agency tirade only 2 GM's of the 30 we have were having issues. For the most part people will accept their player's are going to test free agency as long as a decent reason is provided.
