Booth wont be healthy for the first game of the playoffs, and Tanev might not be back either.

that said this would be the roster i would go with

D.Sedin-H.Sedin-Burrows : our most reliable line, if teams start to take liberties on the Sedin's put Kassian up there.

Raymond-Kesler-Hansen : Kassian hasnt done much on this line. Raymond had great chemistry with Hansen. Kesler screening net

Higgins-Roy-Kassian : Higgins and Roy had a ton of chemistry and looked dangerous together. Kassian net front presence

Pinnizzotto-Lapierre-Weise : This might not be the biggest or toughest but they can all back-check and grind.

Sestito,Ebbett : Sestito steps up if we need a heavyweight to fight. Ebbett is depth on the 3rd line if we have no options

Hamhuis-Garrison : our best d-pairing. shutdown top lines

Edler-Bieksa : offense, need to be more sound defensively

Ballard-Alberts : Until Tanev gets back this is our best option, dont think Corrado will stick for playoffs. and Better than having Barker the pylon

Barker, Vandermeer : dont want barker in there for the playoffs, rather see what Vandermeer can do. vandermeer is more physical and scrappy

Schneider-Luongo : Schneids is going to take the lead. if we loose first round with everyone healthy, there needs to be changes.

If Booth had have been healthy for a good amount of time and actually had his legs:

Sedin - Sedin - Burrows

Raymond - Kesler - Booth

Higgins - Roy - Hansen

Weise - Lapierre - Kassian

Hamhuis - Bieksa

Edler - Garrison

Ballard - Tanev

Schneider - Luongo

lol I like the way you think, Apples.

Sedin Sedin Burrows

Roy Kesler Higgins

Raymond Gaunce Hansen

Weise Lapierre Kassian

Garrison Tanev

Hamhuis Bieksa

Edler Corrado

Shcneider

Luongo

:) Ok so I'm hoping Belleville loses 3 straight, Gaunce comes in vs Edmonton on the last day of the season & that Gaunce & Corrado both play better then can be expected.

The topic did say "ideal lineup" not realistic lineup

Forwards
  • Burrows Sedin Sedin

  • Higgins Roy Hansen

  • Raymond Kesler Kassian

  • Booth Lapierre Weiss

Defense
  • Hamhuis Garrison

  • Edler Bieksa

  • Ballard Tanev

Goalie
  • Schneider

Kesler
IS
one of the top defensive forwards in the NHL.

He should be used as such this playoff.

Roy can handle the more offensive duties.

Kesler still on PP1. Roy on PP2.

Roy on PK1 with Hansen. Kesler on PK2 with Burrows.
