Lui's Knob
This is pure rumor but one of the Edmonton Oiler beat bloggers mentioned Tambellini may find his way back working with the Canucks brass.... Perhaps as a scout but GM? No way...
MoneypuckOverlord
I certainly hope not. Not even as an assistant. I don't even think he is that great of a scout. labeled Jura Simek NHL ready back in 2007. Jurak Simek has since left the NHL years ago.
Sanford
While we're at it we should put Isbister in the ring of honor.
Apples
No please. I don't want to end up last in the league
canuckbeliever
He is actually not bad at evaluating talent. He worked with Team Canada in 02 and 06 and in 02 they won the gold medal. In my opinion he would be a great asset to the team

Lockhart
I'd rather have Jeff. Good depth player.
jono2009
we dont need him what we do need is new scouts and staff to be drafting better. its a joke!
PlayStation
Maybe they want to bring him in as a tanking specialist in preperation for Connor McDavids draft year:$
Phil_314
I thought you meant Jeff, who would probably have the 3rd/ 4th best wrist shot on the team among established guys (behind Danny, Kes and maybe but probably not Burrows); wouldn't mind seeing him if only for shootouts and sniping. Xbox
Scout? Why, because he drafted so much talent? It isn't hard to scout out the 1st or 2nd overall picks..... Hell, TSN does that for you!
GB5
At least Tambellini was a better GM in Edmonton than what McTavish has been thus far. Tambellini won the draft lottery three years in a row and in McTavish's first year, they were a distant 7th.....
apollo
Wow. Too far.
DeNiro
Tambellini is well respected around the league and would be better at dealing with other GM's than Gillis. I would have no problem seeing him back as an Assistant.
Boudrias
Good Trail boy! If we won't draft WHL players we can at least hire them for management roles. Maybe it was Tambo's sweet talking that convinced Shultz to sign there. Gretzky and Messier had nothing to do with it.
CanucksCaptain
He'd be a lucky charm to get the first overall pick

TOMapleLaughs
lol Brian Bukkake. Tambo held the Canucks' vp of player personnel position from '98 to 2008, during which time the Canucks have assembled the bulk of their core. For better or for worse, he was involved in the rise and fall of this team. I don't have a big problem with taking him back. But wouldn't that mean somebody gets displaced? Gagner? Henning? Gilman? ... Gillis? Then again, this staff is large. What's another body?
apollo
You know, your phone doesn't start out knowing dirty language (just a common thing), but can learn it if you type it quite often. Juust saying
