23rd Overall Pick

Recommended Posts

Rychel Gaunce Kassian

Archibald Schroeder Jensen

Corrado Tanev

Andersson Tommernes

Cannata

People that say that we don't have any good prospects need to start looking a little closer. We've got some great young players that are all one or two years away from making an impact.

If we can get a guy like Rychel suddenly our future is looking bigger, tougher, and more skilled.

Valentin Zykov. Had great season. Plays like a Canadian is big and has skill. Complete package. If he falls to 23 I'd take him but his draft value is on the rise and likely will be taken before the Canucks pick.

1st choice: Kerby Rychel

2nd choice: Ryan Hartman

3rd choice: Robert Hägg

would be extremely pleased with any of these picks, hopefully we can trade for another pick in the first round or early second round and start filling up the cupboards with some excelent prospects.

I mean would you take higgins in the first round? Because that's what your going to get with rychel. A pler with no identity.

Not fast, no flow in his skating, not really huge, a shot that may never be nhl ready. Which of these turn you guys on?

Pleeaaee please please watch a game of his before you ask for him. You might actually get what you wish for.

We don't have the 23rd overall pick. We won't know where we pick until the end of the second round.

Picks 1-14 are reserved for teams that didn't make the playoffs, with the lottery winner picking first and the remaining teams picking in order of worst to best record.

Picks 15-26 are reserved for teams that were eliminated in the first 2 rounds of the playoffs in the order of worst record to best record for non-division winners first, then division winners afterwards. The best pick a division winner can get is 21st (if no division winner makes it to the Conference Finals and they have the worst record of all division winners).

Picks 27-28 are reserved for teams that were eliminated in the conference finals with the team with the worst recrod choosing 27th.

Picks 29 and 30 are reserved for Conference winners with the 30th pick going to the Stanley Cup Champion.

Since we're not finished the second round and we didn't win the Presidents' Trophy (which would mean an automatic 26th overall by virtue of having the best record of the division winners), it's still up in the air where we pick. One thing is for sure, we will not pick better than 21st.

I think it's safe to say Vancouver won't pick better than 22nd because they had a better record than Washington.

Washington will either pick right before Vancouver, or 26-30.

lazar is having a dreadful playoffs. 11 points in 23 something games and only +1. I guess they're giving him defensive duties but don't you guys think he'd be a redundancy with Gaunce in our system? Plus we don't need to draft D with the young guys like Tanev, Corrado, Andersson, Tommernes.

Players I'd love but will probably be gone: Gauthier, Mantha, Erne

Players I'd like to pick around 23rd: Zykov, Rychel, Dickinson

Rychel. Two 40 goal seasons, grit, determination, leader. Think dustin brown. Another prospect that needs skating improvement

Zykov. Fast riser, willing to go to hard areas, nose around the net, great shot, only a rookie in QJMHL. Speed scares me a bit

Dickinson. 6"2, high risk high reward, project, but could be steal of draft with intangibles yet maximized, speeeeeed and size.

This year more than most I wish the Canucks would trade up and give us a jersey player.

"Jersey Player": A player in which the fan or purchaser is excited to put the players name on their jersey.

Used in a sentence: The Canucks have no jersey players.
