CALGARY!
Try a few more tweaks and one more shot at the prize before attempting a full rebuild UFA signings Mark Streit 3.5 mil Robyn Regerh 2.5 Salary dump trades To Edmonton, Ballard To Van 6th rounder Hey Edmontons defense can't get worse, besides a change of scenery might help Ballard regain his game, plus he will log more minuts in Edmonton, maybe that will help him regain form, Vancouver wins by shedding unwanted salary. To Nashville, Booth To Van, 7th round Preds may need help meeting the cap floor, perhaps Trotz can bring this guy to life. Again Van sheds salary Trades To Philly, Edler To Van, Simmonds Edler adds powerful shot and PP skills that were missed in the absence of Pronger. Van adds tough player who puts up good numbers. To Tampa Bay, Luongo, 2013 1st To Vancouver, Teddy Purcell, 2013 2nd Tampa scores loads of goals and should not miss Purcell too much, plus gain a late 1st round pick. Great goalie, silly contract, but Luongo would certainly lower there goals agains, and likely push them nicely into a play off spot. Vancouver picks up a big 6'3 205lb forward who puts up great numbers, also kills penalties, gains early 2nd round. To PHX, Alex Burrows, 3rd round pick To Van, Mikkel Boedker PHX gets a peaty player who can produce decent numbers, granted that's padded from playing with the Sedins, hence the third thrown in. Van gets another big bodies forward. Re-sign Raymond, re align the lines First line Wayne Simmonds. Ryan Kesler Teddy Purcell D Sedin. H Sedin. M Raymond Boedker. Schroeder. Kassian Lappier. Prospect. Prospect Hamhuis Regerh Streit Tanev Bieksa Garrison First line is a big line with three young guys, big bodies, all drive hard to the net, would cause a lot of grief even to the top defense pairings of the league. Second line provides speed and skills, really good one two punch. Third line a nice mix of youth and size, keep the flow of the game going, tight checking and depth scoring, 4th line, insert whoever you want here. First d pairing I placed Hamhuis with Regerh as these two would be a great shut down player against the leagues top offense. Second Pairing provides good break out skills and passing ad well as solid play in own end. Third pairing has Bieksa on it, which kinda drags it down, but let's Garrison develop well while keeping an eye on Bieksas give sways etc.

CALGARY!
Lol ya I got a little carried away. Just bored, I wanna think up a good Calgary rebuild plan but it's way harder as there is a bit of a lack of traceable assets. I'll have to wait till the end of next season too see which of our kids lookmlike they might develop and whichnare junkers
slappipappi
I think your trades were actually fairly realistic, and this coming from someone who doesn't usually think so. I just don't see Luongo going to Tampa, as they have invested heavily in Lindback and Bishop, and each, to varying degrees looked pretty good at times. I can't imagine them taking on that contract and moving assets at the same time.
