J.I.A.H.N Posted May 14, 2013 Share Posted May 14, 2013 First off, you have no idea how Gaunce will look in 2 to 3 years.....it is almost the same kind of senerio that existed when we paniced and traded Neely. Gaunce will either make our team next year or star for Canada at the next Junior World's. He was 2nd in scoring in the playoffs, while his team was still playing, his plus/minus was great, he lead his team as the captain, he is big, skates well, and has no fear. Why would you trade him, when we have so many more options. The list of players we have to trade is as good as any teams, Alex Burrows, Booth, Ballard, Raymond, Edler, Luongo, Schneider, Schroeder and our 2014 1st. I am more hesitant trading Schroeder, Schneider and our 2014, as they are our future. But of those last four, Schneider brings the best Value, and I am a huge Schneider fan......Just don't trade Gaunce...period! .......Edler should be gone for sure! I have read several other ones with him in it as well in the past week. It seems that CDC thinks the current team is capable of a cup with a "Couple minor tweaks" They have not learned a thing......you can not win a Cup by trading away your future, unless you have a first over all and no cap.....It just won't happen.
