Abercrombie & Fitch getting heat

Glad this companies getting exposed. I thankfully have never been attracted by their douchey clothing and have refused to even step foot in their stores.

American Eagle, Hollister also fall under that "wont ever step into" category for myself.

EDIT: Will this change your perspective on A&F? Will you stop purchasing their clothing or no? (Just curious is all)

Mike Jeffries The CEO of A&F is a train wreck. He's had so much hideous plastic surgery he makes Bruce Jenner look normal.

There's more plastic in his face than the average dashboard.

This man is 68 years old and has Ryan Kesler's hair cut. For shame.

Ehh that's how I thought about it at first, but Abercrombie and Fitch would rather burn their defective clothing than give it to the poor. Which is terrible.

So instead of telling us to throw out of Abercrombie and Fitch clothing into the landfill, give it to the poor, the people A&F don't want wearing their brand. Because really throwing it away would be no different than burning them.

But yeah, perhaps could of been better executed but hey he's making a huge difference.

I think everyone overreacted to the whole "cool people only" controversy. Every company has a target market, and they are not the only company that specifically targets an exclusive "popular" crowd. His attitude is probably not that much different from any other "status symbol" brands. Luxury airlines, sports car companies, watches, expensive clothing brands, high end clubs etc. all market their products in way that gives them an exclusive image, only for the rich/popular/successful.

Not that I personally like their clothes (I've outgrown the age where people think A&F is actually cool). But to the rich popular high school kid crowd that they target, they are a status symbol. So they're not that different from companies like Ferrari or Rolex or Ray-Ban or even the Canucks. These premium products are made for an exclusive crowd, they just don't have the audacity to say it in the way Mike Jeffries did. But they imply it with their advertising, the models they hire, their high cost etc.
