Theses are three realistic moves to turn the team around:

1). Canucks-Philly - Nucks trade Edler for Wayne Simmonds.

2). Canucks-Islanders - Nucks trade Luongo for Niederiter

3). Canucks-Florida - Nucks trade Burrows/Booth for Gudbranson.

4). Hard play for UFA David clarkson - 5year 25million.

Fire AV and assitants and bring in a new regime - Lindy Ruff or Marc Crawford.

Sedin Sedin Simmonds - 16million cap hit

Clarkson Kesler Kassian - 11million cap hit

Hansen Schroeder Niederertor - 6million cap hit

Higgins Gaunce Lap - 4.5 million cap hit

Bieksa Hamhuis - 11million cap hit

Gudbranson Garrison - 9 million cap hit

Tanev Ballard - 6 million cap hit

Schneider - 4million cap hit

Total cap hit is 67.5 million, to get cap compliant would need to buyout ballard and insert Corrado. That would get us very close to the projected 64million cap.

Gudbranson can't be making 4.5M, he only played 2 years of his ELC.

But that is not the point, because Florida laugh at that proposal.

Think about it we traded SAmuelsson and got rid of Sturm to get Booth. Since then Booth's value plummeted and Florida gets him back for Gudbransson? You didn'T really think about that one. Burrows is not worth Gudbransson either.

The FLA trade is a joke right?? No way FLA would do that! Gusbranson is their best defensive prospect, a guy who is going to anchor that defense for years to come, he's a key piece to their re-build. Why in the world would they trade him for burrows and booth?' They got rid of booth for a reason and there's a reason we want to get rid of him too.

Okay here's the adjustment:

1).Edler for simmonds and a second rounder

2). Luongo for Niedoretor (he doesn't want to play on islanders and has asked for a trade

3). Nucks trade burrows and tanev for gudbranson (sorry but burrows at 4.5m aint worth it and gudbranson is a beast!).

4). Clarkson 5 years 20M.

BOOM, this team would be built for success and especially success in the playoffs where the games are tougher and size speed help. Simmonds with Sedins and Clarkson with Kesler our top 6 would have speed, skill, size and guys that can back it up by dropping the gloves! Gudbranson is an absolute monster and would add that Pronger like prsecense at the back. Get over burrows and tanev...take off those rose colored glasses! And for cap reasons may need to buyout one of booth or ballard but with LTIR gillman will figure it out!
