JordanEberle
I would rather him give the puck away 200 feet from the net rather then 2.... But seriously, no.

Cigano
why are fans so against something so different? The Sharks did it with Burns and he is doing awsome. His size and Thronton together is such a good line
CookieCrumbs
Does he have the hands to play with the Sedins? How many years has it been trying to find a line mate for the Sedins? It's getting ridiculous. Throw Kassian there and let them develop some chemistry is my vote. If we did either try Edler at forward or trade him, the D pairings could look something like this: Hamhuis - Tanev Garrison - Bieksa Ballard - Corrado That's actually not bad at all. I like those pairings. My only concern would be edge. Ballard and Bieksa are the only D in there that have a bit of a streak in them. We need to get meaner. Miss Korea Bob.Loblaw
Has anyone observed Byfuglien's play as a Hawk, in-depth? He probably plays like Edler defensively as a d-man, which is basically clearing the crease. They're not chasers. I wonder how Buff did higher up and near the half-boards. Forechecking would also be a huge question for him.

Bananas
Can't be any worse than Edler on defense.
Tortorella's Rant
Hey Dustin, you've been playing defense for about 20 years, but now we're going to try out at forward in the toughest league in the world and you better be effective otherwise you're going to get grilled by the fans. Good luck.
c00kies
He's not mobile enough to do it. If we want a forward, we should trade Edler for one.

-AJ-
Interesting idea, but I prefer the idea of Edler on defense, provided he can get some consistency going for him.
Boudrias
I think he's too laid back in his skating and suits D better. I like him to focus on those crushing hits and I just think he's more naturally inclined toward a defensive position with his style of play. TACIC
Hamuis Bieksa Garrison Ballard Tanev Corrado Depth guys You telling me defense would be weak? Ballard can do as much as Edler in a expanded role but we would rather play Edler and never try.
