Twilight Sparkle
it's funny because crosby was out almost the entire season, but that guy guessed him anyways just from name association with the penguins but there's nothing funny about a concussion.... *peter griffin laugh*

-AJ-
I guess when non-hockey folk hear "Pittsburgh Penguins", "Centre", and the phrase "led the NHL in points", they automatically think Crobsy. Makes sense I guess. Also, props to Trebek for pronouncing "Evgeni Malkin" correctly. He's lettin' the true Canadian in him shine through.
uber_pwnzor
Don't really see what's supposed to be funny... So the guy was from the States and didn't know anything about hockey? So what?
Scott Hartnell's Mane
I don't know why but clicking on this thread I actually thought Malkin was the one on Jeopardy. I knew that couldn't be right.
Kumquats
Goes to show how much Crosby is shoved down Americans throats. During one of the Canucks / Sharks games on CNBC they talked about Sid and my wife said, "why the f*** are they talking about that little f***er?!" SpinDrive
Pavlovian response. Crosby's like a buzzword in the American sports media..and the sad thing is that the casual hockey fan...that being those who don't openly root for any particular team...Crosby is the only name they know..with the possible exception of Ovechkin. Hey wow that nearly rhymed. Anyway what was I talking about..oh yeah..it's a case of Americans as a whole not giving a furry **** about hockey and Crosby being the first name that comes to mind because thanks to ESPN and NBC Sports in this day and age when the average joe hears about hockey..his name is the first that comes to mind. I'm sure back in the 80s the average American only knew hockey through the name Wayne Gretzky. They just aren't interested enough in hockey to really know anyone else. My mother is one of these..She knows the Canucks because of all my stuff laying around the house with the logo on it and my jerseys...but when she hears hockey news on say the evening local news and hears names like Staal and Skinner and Ward and Semin she automatically links those players to the Canucks because the Canucks are the team I root for and she knows very little about hockey outside of what I've told her or she's observed.
