CALGARY!
Here are a couple of random trades I thought up to help Edmonton bulk up there back end, and Vancouver to pick up some youth and most importantly dump salary. To Boston, 2013 Edmonton second round and Paaiarji (spelling)? To Edmonton, Adam McQuaid To Vancouver, 2013 Edmonton third round, Nail Yakupov To Edmonton, Luongo, Ballard Advantages for everyone Boston gains a young depth player and low second round pick Vancouver gains young sniper and another pick, and dumps a lot of salary allowing them tom play the UFA market strong Edmonton adds size and toughness with McQuaid, and Ballard, Ballard gets more minutes, may regain form, Luongo gets the #1 position he deserves and helps Edmonton keep goals our. This really accelerates Edmonton into becoming a contender
Pears
I think MacT is gonna make a few big moves in the summer. Like offer sheeting a Pietrangelo/Bogosian type player
CALGARY!
I would love to see Bogo join the other kids in Edmonton. I am probably the only guy in the world who owns both an Oilers and Flames jersey
Apples
Oilers aren't going to trade Yakupov for a 7th NHL Dman and to a division rival

elvis15
No way any of those happen. From an Edmonton perspective, they grossly overpay in the first deal and definitely overpay in the second for a goalie they aren't sure they need. Division rivals prevents the second deal anyway as mentioned.

The Magician
No way Edmonton trades Yakupov and a decent pick for a 4 mill minor defenceman + a goalie with that contract when they have to worry about Hall, Eberle, Schultz, and Nugent-Hopkins contracts in the future. CALGARY!
Well Look at it this way, Yakupov is Russian, he cares more about money then winning, he will likely Demand more money then RNH, Hall or Eberle, and thus forcing Edmonton to let him go. Bring in Luongo, at least you know his cap hit for the next 27 years, and can plan around it. Ballard was once a good Dman, he has the skill in him, I think he just needs a new team new coach and new system. It's like when Vancouver let Grabner go, he got on with the Islanders, got minutes, new system and became pretty damn good. And I don't think the whole division rival thing is as big a deal as it was up till now... Being as how 1/4 of the league are division rivals
CALGARY!
Plus Adam McQuaid kicks ass. He is solid defensively, and is one of the toughest guys in the league. Oilers need tough guys who can actually play hockey too. Check out McQuaid kicking the crap out of Torres on YouTube.
