[Rumour] Leafs will have to bid against KHL for Leo Komarov

Leafs GM Dave Nonis said he doesn’t know if the rumors of Leo Komarov signing with Dynamo Moscow were true, but added “It wouldn’t surprise me,” in an email with the Star.

“Leo Komarov will not continue in the NHL,” tweeted Finnish sports reporter Emil Elo. “He will join (Moscow) next season.”

Ice hockey player Leo Komarov is returning to the KHL club Dynamo Moscow.

Toronto Maple Leafs rookie from last year Leo Komarov, whose one-year contract expired in the summer, has decided to return to the KHL reads. According to Russian media, he will return to Dynamo Moscow, from where he originally left for the NHL. Komarov commented on the return of Twitter.

- Thank you to the Leafs organization, the fans and to all my teammates in Toronto for this opportunity you gave me. I have my own reasons to return to the KHL, and I hope that everyone can understand it, Komarov said.

- I really loved Toronto and I wish them all the best and hope to come back in the future, he said.

Dynamo President and CEO Andrei Safronov told Sovjetski Sportille that Komarov agreement will be signed on Tuesday.
