Who will be canucks new coach WAYNE GRETZKY

Recommended Posts

i know all of you know that canucks have fired there head coach but really we knew that was going to happen soon. But now everbodys asking each other whos our new head coach my dream would be wayne gretzky. The thought thats going threw my head is when teams fire a coach eaither the team becomes great like the kings did or they become one of the lowest teams i dont wanna say suckiest.

AV did have a great record with the canucks but its not like we can now get him back.My other question is what about the new coach the canucks get what will he do with the goalie situation or were booth will play or if malhortra will come back. So if everbody can leave there thoughts below of who the next canucks coach and will the team become better or worser.

Right before the playoffs started, I was listening to a podcast on Sirius XM where some "sports analysts" (as they called themselves) were interviewing Gretzky. There was a point during the interview where he was asked what team has the best chance at winning it all and probably should have already. He responded with Vancouver and had only nice things to say about the team.

I like your idea, it's quite intriguing actually.

I talked to wayne once at a wedding .. I asked if he was interested in coaching again .. He said that he would never ever go back .. that he didnt enjoy the experience and didnt need that kind of pressure .. flame me if you like .. thats what he said ..

need a coach who thinks offense. so maybe... Some coaches aren't that great the first time around, but then excel later (aka Tom Renny). So maybe his 2nd time around he would be way better, if he learned from his mistakes. Not sure if he even thinks he made any mistakes... but maybe he does. And he is kind of awol right now, not the guy looking to get back into it. but maybe he could re-think the sedins game - if anyone could.

but probably: no. Unless he is evolving as a coach, no. And he quit coaching, not even in the game anymore... so no.

My criteria for coach will be like this

coach must

-have experience of coaching in NHL games.

-must have some sort of experience of coaching in playoffs(like being an assistance coach during playoffs)-[can argue either way]

-since canucks wants more of offensive minded coach i doubt we need anymore defensive type coach who are easily satisfied with 1 goal lead
