That would be the dream duo IMO.

The problem is, Eakins may get offers for head coaching positions, and therefore may not be willing to take an assistant position.

And Tippett from the sounds of it may not even be leaving the Coyotes. I wish there was a way we could trade the Coyotes money for him, because we all know they could use it.

Why is that? Just bc Nonis wasn't dumb enough to give up alot for a huge contract that no one else was willing to take on at that time? He's uncooperative? You're hilarious. Your business must be very successful everyone just cooperating and agreeing with you.

I don't think Eakins would be the top candidate unless Gillis is still doing his so called "thinking outside the box". Hopefully he hires a nhl experience coach since this is a vet team. But someone who has worked with younger players too.
