(Proposal) Cleaning up cap and getting better

Recommended Posts

With the news of the day, the first overall pick be shopped for a goalie, I think I have something that could work out well.

Here is the line up

CAPGEEK.COM TOTALS (follow @capgeek on Twitter)

(these totals are compiled with the bonus cushion)

SALARY CAP: $64,300,000; CAP PAYROLL: $60,976,111; BONUSES: $162,500

CAP SPACE (21-man roster): $3,486,389

The trades

To Van - 2013 first (Mackinnon)

To Colorado - Booth, Luongo, 2013 first (If necessary Schneider could be traded)

To Van - Eriksson

To Dallas - Edler, Schroeder

(I stole this trade idea)

Sign Hendricks

re-sign Lappy, Tanev, Alberts and Call up Gaunce

There is a lot of rookie going on in this line up. I haven't done much scouting on Mackinnon, but do you guys feel he is ready for the transition.

I think Gaunce is ready if he is playing with good defensively responsible wingers like burrows and higgins. Also having that top 6, if Mackinnon is ready, would take a lot of pressure off the bottom 6
