nitwitt
This team needs a CUP! With the Sedins starting a dimminshed state the time is right now for M.G. to "Re-set" or re-shape this team. He needs to put his fingerprints on this team, now. In order to do this he will have to come to terms that he has viable assets that can net Us very good players for years to come. We all love Burrows, Edler and Luongo but they are the only real options Gillis has to fulfill the formula to win a CUP. This team must get bigger upfront, players that take the body with more firepower. Our top six must be hard to defend. So I propose we deal; TRADE #1 TO ANAHIEM: EDLER TO VANCOUVER: RYAN TRADE #2 TO FLORIDA: LUONGO BURROWS SCHROEDER TO VANCOUVER: KULIKOV BJUGSTAD UFA signings: D.Clarkson-4 MIL R.Clowe-4 MIL New look lines: RYAN KESLER CLARKSON SEDIN SEDIN CLOWE HIGGINS BJUGSTAD KASSIAN JENSEN GAUNCE HANSEN HAMHUIS BIEKSA GARRISON TANEV KULIKOV CORRADO SCHNIEDER/LACK DEAL: Ballard and Booth for 3rd or 4th round picks. Top 2 lines look crazy good. Lots of size down the middle plus a couple of young studs. Every line has a physical presence plus great skill and depth. CAP= 60.5 MIL WITH SOME WIGGLE ROOM LEFT can you say CUP please...

jejejester
Please no clowe he's slow as hell and really isn't a good upgrade over Burrows or kassian. Might have size but I've never been a fan. Other than that decent trades. Could work. We will need a center who can step up and replace kesler because you know he won't be 100% for 82 games

elvis15
Yeah, not bad, but I'd rather keep Burrows over Clowe as well. With Burrows added to the Florida deal I feel like we're overpaying anyway.

R3aL
Sad to see burrows go but I love that Florida trade, you think we are overpaying, I thought they wouldn't do it. With burrows and lapierre gone our rep with the refs will be improved. With lui edler burrows lapierre gone our core is changed big time. It's younger bigger and better. I would love to have Kulikov on our team our D needs a guy like him. Our top 6 could do some nice line juggling as well, would be a really entertaining team to watch and te bottom 6 is solid. Don't sign Clowe as hes not needed save the team 4 mill. Really like the final lineup though
jejejester
Keep cap open for next ufa. Some of the names are huge that could hit ufa, if we could get Sedins resigned for cheaper and have 4-5m cap space with the cap going up we might be able to bring in 2 5-6+ guys
Nuxfanabroad
Not too bad. Agree Clowe might be a waste of $. May's well draft/develop our own version of RC.
"Bull" Horvat
two rookies centering the 3rd & 4th .. sounds like fun no need for Clowe. already got one slow bum we have to worry about in Kass. Kulikov is young and dynamic, top 3 dmen, no way you can get them for that package if you want their #1 C prospect since Huberdeau is well considered "graduated". Ryan - Kesler - Clarkson/Kassian Sedin - Sedin - Clarkson/Jensen Higgins - Matthias - Hansen Gaunce/Jensen - Lain - Kassian/Weise Hamhuis - Garrison Kulikov - Tanev Andersson/Tommernes - Bieksa Schneider European league back up (cause i don't know who MG could possibly try to trade for .. unless that whole proposed team of mine has the cap space for ... DiPietro)

Apples
Not a bad trade. Even though we give up Burrows, we get two good players back
Dilly Canuck
Like the Ryan trade alot but I'm not sure if Anaheim would do it. That Florida trade is intresting but it doesn't really address our biggest need for goal scoring up front or toughness in the bottom 6(except for maybe Bjugstad but he doesn't offset the loss of Burrows). I agree with others that Clowe is kinda slow so I don't really want him, wouldn't mind Clarkson though. Ballard is pretty much worthless with 2yrs left@ $4.2M, nobody would take him unless it was to buy him out.
