Plum
Guimond, Johnston, De Champlain, Elliot, Franson, Hall, Hope, Maillet, Mychan, Pacan are the non roster invites to watch for. I don't know alot about them, going to do some research. Does anyone know if is this going to be on TV or anywhere I can watch online?
Psycho_Path
If it's like previous years' tournaments, it'll be streamed on the Canucks website. I'd recommend logging on early to get connected to the feed. IIRC there was issues in the past with too many ppl

SID.IS.SID.ME.IS.ME
Yeah, he's on the roster, but with the number of current contracts I doubt he'd see a Canucks deal. Perhaps they look at him for an AHL-only deal, but hard to say since they won't be able to evaluate him fully until he can skate. Maybe a try out contract during the AHL season and then they ink him if he works out.

elvis15
I suppose that part wasn't clear. ... It is a possibility (as you suggested) that he'll get an AHL tryout this year. I suppose he might even have been promised as much, unofficially/off the record, and that's what he's referring to (on Twitter). Like I said in the original post, it's possible that he's just being optimistic (or he's very confident) about making it as a professional player in the Canucks organization. He's certainly an enthusiastic and very positive person so he might just really believe in his chances and he's setting a goal for himself. Rollieo Del Fuego
It was clear, and I was agreeing about him being on the Young Stars roster. Apart from that I was countering that I don't think it's a lead up to anything until they do see more from him. I'd assumed they'd seen at least something of him prior to want to invite him to camp, but didn't know they'd done more extensive scouting. If they were sold on him they'd likely already have offered him an AHL deal or at least be on their way to it, but with the number of players already slated for the Utica roster I'm not sure were he'd fit. Who knows, maybe they do offer him a deal without seeing how he's recovered from the injury on ice, or maybe it's a tryout, but his tweets suggesting he'll be seeing Kenins later this year are interesting. Rollieo Del Fuego
I suppose that part wasn't clear. I know he's on the Young Stars Tourney roster. As I said earlier, I was doing some web scouting of the Canucks' Young Stars invites (who are listed on the Tourney roster). Unless you're referring to another roster (Canucks/Comets) that lists him? That is, other than NHL.com--and their associated webpages--who list everyone, including current Young Stars, expired draft rights, and some past roster players, on many of their 2013-14 Canucks rosters. If that's the case, then he'd be signed (which I don't think you're saying). What I was referring to was the actual team rosters for the professional players under the organizational umbrella: (ie: the signed NHL/AHL and AHL-only players for Vancouver and Utica). I can't find him on any websites related to either team's contracted players. As far as evaluations, from the research I've done on Jesse Mychan, he's actually one of the players the Canucks have been scouting and following in general for quite some time. So, even prior to this year's Young Stars Tourney, they'd know a fair amount about him and how he plays. I would agree, however, that they'd likely prefer to observe him in game action following the most recent injury and rehab. So it does seem highly unlikely the he'd have been signed this July (and even more strange if it was not announced). Also, to be clear, I would see him destined for Utica, if signed (or possibly Kalamazoo if there's not enough space). As for what kind of contract, I'd also lean toward an AHL-only deal for the time being (although with 3-4 contracts sliding this year, there's still space for as many as five additional NHL/AHL contracts on the 50 man limit). It is a possibility (as you suggested) that he'll get an AHL tryout this year. I suppose he might even have been promised as much, unofficially/off the record, and that's what he's referring to (on Twitter).
