After the Penguins getting swept to the Bruins, do you guys think the Penguins should re-sign Jarome Iginla, why and why not?

Quick Stats:

During the Playoffs he had, 12 points (4 goals, 8 assists) in 15 games played with the Penguins.

Against NYI: 9 points in 6 games.

Against: OTT 3 points in 5 games.

Against BOS: 0 points in 4 games.

He was doing fine until the Conference Finals. The question is did the team not find enough chemistry amongst it's forwards?

You'd think adding Morrow and Iginla even at the latter parts of their careers both would be motivated and fit in well with the Penguins.

He seemed to like it in Pittsburgh. If I was the team I'd sign them both but let Murray go and get their young D into their lineup.

I think they have some tough decisions on goal. Would Luongo be an option? It would be only 0.33 million more. But what would we take for the deal? Despres, Bennett, and Fleury and a 2nd rounder for Luongo, Schroeder and Sauve?

The best part is that he turned down the trade to the Bruins, because he thought the Pens gave him a better chance to win.

:bigblush:

If he'll sign for cheap (4 or less), then yeah, Pens should keep him. But really, Shero needs to focus on fixing his D, especially since he's spent most of his trading chips already.
