Canucks didnt get swept by boston like the pens did because...?

One man made the difference in our series compared to the pens/bruins east final. Is this finally going to make all the luongo haters understand? And now look at us...

We have demoted the face of the franchise, future hall of famer, the best goalie that this team has ever had, gold medalist, vezina winner (yes I said vezina winner... brodeur stole that trophy in 07 because of eastern bias), Jennings winner, back to back president trophies... and a guy that was our captain.

A man who left his wife and kids behind and took a lower cap hit just to make this team competitive. So we could fit extra players like higgy and lappy (2011 deadline)

Gillis and AV ruined the best thing we had. They benched him in 2012 after he was our BEST player in both games one and two. The commentators admitted it and I believe he was selected as a star in both games.

Then AV and gillis further crapped on lui and benched him in place of a two game choke job by Cory. And once again... luongo was BY FAAAAAAAR our best player in games one and two vs the sharks. Don't give me the bull that kesler was great too... he played ONE GOOD PERIOD.

This guy is the heart and soul of our franchise and we have just chewed him up and spat him out.

But if you think there's a different reason that we didn't get swept by the bruins when the pens just did... please have your voice heard. I watched all four games of the east final and in my honest opinion it played out just like the scf of 2011. Except the Canucks had the saga in net and the pens had vokoun and Maf shortly.

Night and day performances, I like Luongo, all he needed to do was steal one game in Boston and we would have won the cup.

as for the reason we didn't get swept, the first 2 games of that series, the team played as a cohesive unit...the game 3 Rome Horton hit woke up the Bruins IMO, and then injuries caught up with the team.

You mean the guy that got two shutouts and a 3-2 ot win? Or the team that managed to score 8 goals in an entire 7 game series. That means Luongo wouldve needed to get at least 3 shutouts to win a cup for a pathetic injured team.
