They buy out DePietro 3. They do not re-sign Mason Raymond, Max Lapierre , Andrew Ebbet, Steve Pinizotto, Derek Roy, Derek Joslin, and Cam Barker . Manny Malhotra goes on injured reserve. 4. They do re-sign Dale Weiss $.7, Chris Tanev $1.5 and Andrew Alberts $.8. 5. They trade Keith Ballard to anyone who will give a 4th round pick. 6. They trade Alex Edler to Pittsburg for James Neil. 7. They trade David Booth to Buffalo for the 15th pick and take Bo Horvat 8. They pick Kerby Rychel with the 24th pick in the draft. 9. They sign UFA Brian Bickel for $4.25M/yr for 4 years. 10.They sign UFA Jordie Benn for $.75M for one year 11. They hire John Stevens from the LA Lings as head coach. 12. They will win the cup. They add size with Bickel... they overpay but it will prove worth it (and everyone wants him). 4.They get younger by starting 3 rookies and a fourth as the backup goalie. 5. The Sedins play with a true sniper... the first line is one of the best in the league. 6. Kesler and Burrows play together again and with Bickel the second line becomes one of the hardest shutdown lines to play against in the league .,, and they end up plus players on the year. 7. They add a third line centre who is ranked the 11th best prospect in the league. He can move towards first line centre role in the future. Kassian plays defined role with offensive minded center and Higgins adds defense and stability. 8. Gaunce gets a chance to develop with a limited role but the 4th line has very good speed. 9. They have addressed the imbalance in the lineup by moving Edler's salary and using it for a forward (Neil) 10 Top three D are very solid, the next two (Tanev and Corrado)are steady and young and Alberts is big and reliable. 11. Canucks now have 3 blue chip prospects ( Jensen, Horvat and Rychel) developing for the near future. 12 Schroeder will get his minutes filling for injured players up and down the lineup and Sestito can be inserted for muscle. 13.
