Alex the Great
@mirtle : Lightning have signed forward Reto Suri to a one year contract, two way deal.
SkeeterHansen
Hm. Decent signing I guess. Put up pretty good numbers on a world stage, for what I thought was an over-achieving Swiss team.

Warhippy
As per the OP's final paragraph, is he subject to the same rules and requirements of qualifications and offer sheets like RFA's?
Ossi Vaananen
Tampa is one of those teams that really lacks identity, and this signing really doesn't help. Slow, old d-core with some small forwards and Stamkos to round it all out. You'd think the years of tanking would have put them in a better position. Anyways, I think he's Brunner 2.0. Maybe the Swiss league is worth scouting?
UFCanuck
El Nino Niederreiter would look with the Orca on his uniform.

Noseforthenet
Tampa is fine. All they ever really needed is a goalie. They score lots, the defense is not bad. Not great, but not bad. They didn't even need to fire Guy Boucher. They have always needed to keep the puck out of the net. If Bishop does the job, no one is wanting to play them in the playoffs. They can score at a moment's notice!!!

Visp
damn it! why don't they read these forums /topic/345572-look-overseas-for-players/page__p__11414536__hl__brunner#entry11414536">http://forum.canucks.com/topic/345572-look-overseas-for-players/page__p__11414536__hl__brunner#entry11414536 Posted 26 May 2013 - 08:29 AM /index.php?app=forums&module=forums§ion=findpost&pid=11414431">DW23, on 26 May 2013 - 02:10 AM, said: I guess you're probably joking but he's quite the fan favorite over here :D I'd try some undrafted players. What do you guys think of Denis Hollenstein? I thought he played well for Switzerland Denis is a quality player, just like his dad. The one guy that impressed me though (from nowhere) in the IIHF's wasReto Suri. Suri had 5 goals and 3 assists in 10 games for Switzerland and also plays for EV Zug, same club as another undrafted gem named Damien Brunner. Plus he's the same age as Tanev! 2010/11 Lakers NLA 49 17 13 30 55 101 1 3 4 8 2011/12 Lakers NLA 50 11 12 23 59 51 3 1 4 2 2012/13 Zug NLA 46 14 11 25 34 14 9 5 14 20 Another NLA player somebody needs to sign is Lukas Flüeler. The goaltender almost singlehandedly won the playoffs with his amazing play in net for the ZSC 2012 championship run and pushed the Lions into the playoffs again this season. He would make a great young back-up to Schneids (or Lu) and would definately give Lack a run for his money.
