Jägermeister
Can't see where the comparisons to Brunner are coming from (outside of the fact they are both Swiss and played for the same team), Brunner was putting up points 3 times as much as Suri did in his last season in Switzerland. Brunner had 57 points in 33 games, 1.73 points per game. Suri had 25 points in 47 games, 0.53 points per game. Don't see much of a comparison there. Lonny_Bohonos_14
Tampa is one of those teams that really lacks identity, and this signing really doesn't help. Slow, old d-core with some small forwards and Stamkos to round it all out. You'd think the years of tanking would have put them in a better position. Anyways, I think he's Brunner 2.0. Maybe the Swiss league is worth scouting?
DownUndaCanuck
What are all our great Swedish scouts doing? They almost snagged us a gem defenceman who decided to go back to school, that's it...Meanwhile Detroit and Detroit-minded Yzerman have their tentacles out there in Europe, pulling in stars. elvis15
damn it! why don't they read these forums /topic/345572-look-overseas-for-players/page__p__11414536__hl__brunner#entry11414536">http://forum.canucks...r#entry11414536 From someone who has seen him play, I would say the Damien Brunner comparisons are quite fair! I wish our management group had the balls to sign someone like this from overseas! on a 2 way deal it's hardly a big gamble!
