CALGARY!
So Are you saying it's bad to hire foreign born workers? What gives them less of a right to work? That's a pretty redneck attitude no? I just don't see the need to hate. Didn't realize how many hate filled people there are out in the world. I certainly don't hate someone simply because of where they call home. I mean that's a really poor attitude to have, I never once brought up the So called "Alberta Advantage" or the politics of the province. All I am doing is saying I live here, I am not a stupid redneck. My family, friends and neighbors are all really nice people. I respect the people of this whole country as each province and territory brings something great to the country. Im not here to debate politics, that's not my thing, I'm just here to let you know that being from Alberta is not a reason to be hated. Drop the hate and chill bro, were all in the same great country.
lowest common denominator
I used to think I hated Alberta, then I moved there. Then I realized, to truly hate Alberta, you have to spend a couple minutes there first. It is a craphole in every way. Paydays are great though, today is one of them! Happy Friday! Dogbyte
People getting mad that companies destroy the land to make money is pretty funny. Welcome to reality. I also get paid today but I don't think I'll spend any of my money, instead beers are on the taxpayers at lunch today. Go expense account. Ha ha ha ha. inane
As has been said, it's not if, but when. These pipelines are the most short sighted money grabbing idea, it's ruinous to bank our future on that.

DeNiro
Cue the "well you all use oil products so you're all hypocrites" argument. Such a bad argument. Yes we all use oil products because there's no alternative. Does that mean we shouldn't demand new and safer products, and safer ways of creating/transporting energy? Of course not. The oil companies have a stranglehold on governments right now, and it's up to the people to demand change. The consumer does still have power contrary to popular belief. It's not that long ago that tobacco lobyists had the same stranglehold, and their power has been taken away. It takes the poeple demanding change though. DeNiro
Just curious, what kind of change do you think the government can make? Force people to stop driving? Don't you think that's a movement that has to start on the grass roots and work its way up?

Nuxfanabroad
Evolving over decades, we've brought ourselves to a catch-22. Fixing the economy will probably devastate the environment. Fixing the environment(if possible), would likely strangle the economy...
