Primal Optimist
General Manager of the New York Rangers, Primal Optimist speaking this evening about the latest addition to the Rangers club: We were looking at a guy, a guy who averaged 2 pts a game for his GML team in his first 21 games...he goes out, get hurt, hits the skids for ahhh 15 games or whatever, 11 pts in 15 games, and some missed time while on the mend. Then his next 10 games he goes out and gets himself 27 pts. We look at that guy and we say he is a 2.3 pts a night guy and THAT my friends is the guy we want on the 3rd line. It is that simple, but if you don't like simple, then factor in the upside shown a couple years ago and it is plain to see this guy is worth the time to look see. Of course we aren't naming names yet..and in this day and age of the interweb, its easy to find out, go ask eklund. You want to know who he is, come to the scrimmage

Primal Optimist
TRADE: The New York Rangers have made a trade with the Washington Capitals. To NYR: Rene Bourque To WSH: NYR 2014 2nd Round Draft Selection ANA 2014 3rd Round Draft Selection Well the cat is out of the bag! Welcome to MSG and the NYR's Rene Bourque! Rene, as alluded to above, has potential higher than but a baseline of 2.3 pts a game and with 23 games left it will be interesting to see if the potential unlocks like it did in past years and provides us with a 100 point push into the playoffs. The price was steep, but we believe Mr. Bourque is well worth it and our fans will love the detail he brings to the 3rd line. Thank you Da.Moose for a decent trade inside the division, a rare enough feat as it is, but a smooth trade at the same time is almost unheard of. And for the armchair quarterbacks out there: we are aware we paid a premium for this player, and we feel he is worth that premium. Rene Bourque will slot into the 3rd line RW spot and Steve Bernier will play RW on the fourth line.

Caboose
Only 2 points fewer than the Canucks, with 3 games in hand.... A lot of that has to do with playing in the Met. Standing is not indicative of the quality of their team however.

Bombastik der Teutone
Hoffman, Svedberg and Halmo called up in real ...if they will stay with their Big Clubs is another Question but it makes us confident that we´ll see some NHL Action from them in the Future...sooner or later. With Tavares and Nielsen out , Halmo could get a shot what would make me really proud. Signed him 2 Years ago because the high Salary impressed me, seemed the Isles have a lot of confidence in him. May it will work out now...i ll see.

da.moose
TRADE: The New York Rangers have made a trade with the Washington Capitals. To NYR: Rene Bourque To WSH: NYR 2014 2nd Round Draft Selection ANA 2014 3rd Round Draft Selection The Washington Capitals would like to thank Rene Bourque for his time with the team and wish him the best moving forward in New York. We would also like to thank Primal Optimist for being reasonable and patient throughout the negotiating process. Though trading a veteran player like Bourque at this time in the season may seem counter productive, it was a calculated decision by our management team. We have players that have been pushing hard for full time roles in the lineup and we decided that we wanted to show our confidence and appreciation to them by giving them full time spots in the lineup down the stretch. Our management team knew that Bourque was not part of our future plans and believes that it was in our best interest to trade him while he had value. We have traded plenty of picks in recent seasons and are excited about the potential of adding two young prospects to our organization during the NHL draft. We feel very comfortable with our remaining roster and continue to be optimistic about this Capitals team right now and in the near future. Roster Moves: Re-Call: The Washington Capitals re-call Simon Despres to the NHL. Washington Capitals Current Roster: Patrik Elias - Pavel Datsyuk - Evander Kane Chris Kreider - Kyle Turris - Sam Gagner Jakob Silfverberg - Andrew Cogliano - Zack Kassian Rob Klinkhammer - John Mitchell - Justin Fontaine Keith Yandle - Tobias Enstrom Sergei Gonchar - Jan Hejda Kyle Quincey - Ryan Ellis Simon Despres - Mark Fayne Kari Lehtonen Thomas Greiss ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Dover Dobermans Current Roster: Justin Florek - Jacob Josefson - Richard Panik Mattias Tedenby - Chris Porter - Jordan Szwarz Tanner Richard - Daniel Catenacci - Jordin Tootoo ____________ - Matthew Peca - ___________ Tim Erixon - John Klingberg Jyrki Jokipakka - Keegan Lowe __________ - __________ Edward Pasquale _____________

Bombastik der Teutone
Does this Rule also counts at CDCGML? The length of the contract is determined by the player." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Restricted_free_agent
canuck2xtreme
Does this Rule also counts at CDCGML? http://en.wikipedia....cted_free_agent That setup isn't in our rules but it's generally accepted that a qualifying offer is usually a one year term, or two in rare occasions. 4.2.1 – Qualifying Offers Teams looking to retain the rights of their pending Restricted Free Agents would need to submit a qualifying offer based on the following scale.$500,000 - $1.5 million = 110% of previous contractover $1.5 million - $3 million = 105% of previous contractover $3 million = 100% of previous contract Qualifying offers are calculated using a players base salary, not including bonuses. The deadline for submitting qualifying offers is 5:00pm Pacific Time on June 25th of each season. This offer may or may not be accepted, but the player will go to Unrestricted Free Agency if the qualifying offer is not extended before the deadline. I'd also like to ask that when teams send in qualifying offers, to please add me to the conversation or have the agent you sent the offer to contact me as soon as possible to let me know the player has been qualified so that I can keep the charts up to date.
