There is a least one older nerd than you in this thread P.O 130121js_atari1.jpg

Holy crap. That is epic. Is that an Atari 2600?

My first computer was a Commodore 64 and between our friends and us we had Atari, Colecovision, Intellivision, etc.

I remember playing Castle Wolfenstein on the school computer after school until we got one at home.....lol

Man, some of those games were awesome and totally addictive. My kids would last 3 seconds playing them now...lol.

Pitfall, Missile Command, and Donkey Kong I remember playing a lot. Keystone Cops too (I think that was the name) but I can't remember which system it was on.

So pumped to add Andy to our organization, we cannot believe there wasn't a line of teams after him, he brings an element of skill and grit that is needed to make it as a player in this league, and we can't wait to see him suit up!

Oh, and Joust too. Flying around on a giant Ostrich spearing other guys in the head is cool anytime you can do that.....haha

Joust! i do remember joust. I had a Vic 20 that I spent hours 'coding' to make games that would save onto cassette tapes. My dad's first adventures with video gaming was that he got so addicted to a game i 'wrote' on the vic 20, one where you had a series of platforms you had to dig holes in and when an apple got stuck in the hole you had to hit it over the head with a hammer to push it through..that is all i remember...but he played it so much he snapped the tendon in his 'fire button' thumb and the surgery to repair it left a scar about 16 inches long around his wrist and up his arm where they had to fish for the end of the tendon. Yikes.

also Intellevision. My brother bought that system when he got old enough to have his own apartment and it blew my mind, haha.

it had a voice module for the first time the video game talked to me! "B-52 Bomb burrrrrrrr" is what it said most often in a texan drawl accent. Odd that i remember that, haha.

somehow it seemed so much more realistic in my head....but here is actual image...lol
