Dutch_Canuck
Play had to be reviewed but he squeezed one in from a tough angle. Bad goal by Bachman, but hey, we'll take it .
messier's_elbow
Hunters board play has gotten better by leaps and bounds. After he gains some size and strength he's gonna make the big club. Another year in Utica then I think he's on the team full time.

Gaudette Celly
Wouldn't be a good storyline for the New Face of the NHL. We'll spot him a year.
Rollieo Del Fuego
even if it is next season with him going against McDavid and Eichel? No, Cassels wins it next year after shutting McDavid down all 8 times they meet...Eichel as well the 2 times they meet, as well Cole finishes third in rookie scoring... Rush17
I can see Shinkaruk making the team next year, however only if his training camp is "spectacular." Our prospects are indeed exciting and I can't wait to see who we pick this year. IMO this is what we will look like post Sedin era: Shinkaruk-???-Virtanen Baertschi-Horvat-Kassian Gaunce-McCann-Jensen Kenins-Cassels-Grenier I still believe we need that true first line centre. Bo could have it in him however I see him being more of a excellent second liner. Kesler quality. As for Cassels he has the offensive upside to play up in the lineup, however with our centre depth I believe 4th/3rd is where he will play and gaunce will be moved to the wing in favour of McCann. I also have a good feeling about Shink and Virtanen, if mixed with a good play making centre (Barzal) the trio could be lethal. Size, speed, smarts and skill. As much as I dislike kesler. To be fair if Hank wasn't glued into that #1 center spot I think an argument could have been made kesler could of developed into a legit #1 center. He did so for team USA as a 2 way guy. Think he would of been a very good 1st line center if there wasn't a superstar pencilled in. I know he has always kinda been a 2 way guy but I think he could of developed into a leathal center. So who's to say with Bo who is arguably better at this age can't so it. The only thing I see stopping him would be his own mindset which I don't see an issue or possibly his speed and or vision. But if he has good teammates he could be a very good #1 center. Time will tell. I'm curious if will see mccan convert to wing at some point . That will likely depend on the development of cole Cassels. Kids an overage I believe but he's super talented. Curious how it will translate. He didn't look to impressing last pre season but he looks good in the o. ( this year )
UFCanuck
Shinkaruk has always had great edges. Not too many players in the NHL can skate like that.
Dutch_Canuck
Shinkaruk is developing nicely, definitely the prospect I'm most excited for. Might do him well to do another year in Utica and play a bigger scoring role, and to continue to get stronger off the puck. Would be ecstatic if he came out and made the team after pre-season !
