Hunter Shinkaruk | C/W

Oh. I guess every post is self-promoting though. At least I'm not promoting Brad Marchand. Although I am a bit jelly of him.

If we're going to pick an undersized player, why not a real prick like that guy?

Shinkaruk actually does play an agitating game.

He's constantly driving defenders nuts.

He may not have as punchable of a face as Marchand, but knows how to annoy other players.

we could have had

instead we drafted hunter bustkaruk

best scoring threat :picard: :picard: :picard: :picard: :picard: :picard: :picard: :picard: :picard: :picard:

Some Hunter comparison to Klimchuk in regards to a "scoring threat"

Regular Season Playoffs Season Team Lge GP G A Pts PIM +/- GP G A Pts PIM

2010-11

Medicine Hat Tigers WHL 63 14 28 42 24 13 14 4 5 9 0

2011-12

Medicine Hat Tigers WHL 66 49 42 91 38 17 8 2 9 11 6

2012-13

Medicine Hat Tigers WHL 64 37 49 86 44 -13 8 3 3 6 8

2013-14

Medicine Hat Tigers WHL 18 5 11 16 29 -2

But hey, don't let facts get in the way of your stupid ignorance pal. We drafted the player we needed. A top 6 sniper. Go complain to the other 6 GM's who passed on Nicushkin and cry a little more. Your tears soothe me to sleep troll.

Wtf happened to this thread.

Last I checked Hunter felt great in his recovery, and is optimistic about training in the spring.

Lets keep it on topic.

No no no, lets be negative! Jump in the CDC fire, at training camp Hunter goes from CDC apple of their eye, is the best most exciting prospect we have ever drafted!! Poor man kane, parise etccc There was so much love for the kid, his cockiness, his puck skill swag, to his journaling and outright enthusiasm. Now after playing subpar due to a hip injury and not making the WJ, he has become a bust, that quickly CDC turns on one of out top prospects.

Thats crazy, the kid put up 16 pts in 18 games with a hip injury, bad enough to require surgery, he also was a final cut on a team he was trying to make with an injured hip.. Mantha took his spot, MANTHA, not like he lost his spot to a random plug.

He clearly looked slow and not himself on the ice, hip injuries are very hard to play with. Look at Kesler it took him quite awhile to recover from his surgery and be able to skate 100%.

This kid is still a beauty prospect, was a great selection, and Ossi is right this thread should be about injury/recovery updates and positive optimism, maybe our prospects suffer in their development processes because so much negative energy is spewed towards them in these forums! Srs not srs, but commmmon

He's exactly the player the Canucks need today. He will push to make the team in the fall. He should have been a Canuck this year, was the best sniper at camp.

Next season I hope the team looks like this:

Sedin-Sedin-FA

Shinkaruk-Horvat-Kassian

Higgins-Kesler-Burrows

Hansen-Richardson-Sestito/Archibald/Lain

Sedins get first line duty, Kesler gets the heavy lifting and the kids get the gravy O zone starts. Roll all 4 lines.

This has always been a throwaway year. The real Retool was scheduled for 2015.

No doubt, I noticed that yesterday. Well, here's something that might help:

Hunter Shinkaruk@H_S_9

Crazy to think it's been a month and 1 day since surgery. Never would of imagined I would feel this good already. Thanks for the support

That's from Feb 8. Maybe back to light workouts or even skating around the end of the season?

You think the number you put next to a line or what order you write them down in a post makes a difference on whether or not they get exploited by other top lines?
