elvis15
Wait so technically hes not signed yet? He is, it was just a clerical error: Renaud Lavoie @LavoieRenaud Thanks to @vancanucks for the quick response on Cole Cassels contract. Error has been rectified. Cole Cassels: 3 years / $558 333 AAV (2 way) + $277 500 SB #canucks
Scorevat
Thanks for the clear up. Anyways hope Cole can play his way onto team usa still, it would be cool to have someone from both sides of the usa vs canada game.
Henrik Kesler
Glad he's signed. His low cap hit could be a big asset next year as I think he's going to be very, very close to making the team.

Yeah same here. That is the trend going on now, throwing cheap ELCs players into their lineups. But this is really cheap, god I can't wait! Future looks so bright and I think we can be a contender in 3-5 years.

elvis15
Glad he's signed. His low cap hit could be a big asset next year as I think he's going to be very, very close to making the team. I don't know about that. He'd have to not only beat out the current players in the lineup but also guys like Gaunce and Shinkaruk, who will no longer be junior eligible, and Horvat, who's a better prospect than Cassels at this point. I'd be very surprised if he doesn't play his final year of junior. I mean, unless we're actually doing a full rebuild and move Kesler, don't re-sign Santorelli, trade Gaunce, Horvat, etc or something similar then he'd be too far down the depth chart to make the roster anyway. DeNiro
Make that two assists for Cassels. Looks like he's back. Clearly he was slumping due to injury. Edit: And he keeps on rolling. 4 assists now! 3 primaries. Looks like he's really making up for lost time.

DeNiro
Must be the line mates Yea definitely. He was the only player on the team that had 4 points, and 3 of those were first assists, so I would say hes puling his own weight just fine. Fred65
I asked a friend to look at Cole Cassels in last night's game. Keep in mind this guy is a Leafs through and through guy and hates every thing about the Canucks. Here's what he said You got it ! Just arrived back home after the game, we left with three minutes to go and at that point it was 6-0 and Cassels was 2+1 on the night, nice player good size and wheels, plays on the Generals top line with Caps first rounder Scott Laughton and a sure fire early first round pick in June Mike Dal Colle. Plum
Cassels is slowing down a bit after Laughton left for the World Juniors. He got an assist tonight and looked pretty decent, played on the PP and with Dal Colle.
Hyzer
3 Assists so far for Cassels in the Oshawa game vs Ottawa, assisting Dal Colle, Suellentrop, and Smith's goals.
