IMHO Schroeder hasn't proven much yet. No doubt that he is a gamer but I see him losing most physical battles. He could not have a better opportunity than the last 10 games. That said expecting much after the time he has sat due to injury is not realistic. I actually see his future with the Canucks is the most threatened by the increasing depth at C. Derp... Posted February 9, 2014 Share Posted February 9, 2014 JS compete's hard and has good playmaking ability. He is also good at skating through the neutral zone, and drawing D to him. The Devils had Gomez and Madden ready to take over Morrison and Pederson's spots so they dealt from a position of strength, got Mogilny, put him on the 3rd line and won a Cup.
