CB007
I want to like Lucic, but just like Kane of the Jets, both guys seem to have attitude problems. Marchand is a rat-faced fink who in a perfect world would go knee on knee against Matt Cooke and both Ratface would leave the game, never to return. And Cooke would come back and score the game 7 OT winning goal against them.

CB007
Wtf? You're okay with the Canucks severely injuring people if you get to watch your favourite team get to circle around the ice with a big silver cup?
BI3KSA-
Obviously would prefer winning clean, but our mentality must be to do whatever it takes to win. Boston knew they were up against a better team in us, and after losing games 1 and 2, adapted that mentality. We didn't.

CB007
We actually did adapt to their mentality. We started doing stupid crap between whistles, slashing and crosschecking etc, and it totally took us off our game and was a major reason why we lost. Look at Chicago, they stuck to their game and they beat Boston. Regardless, not only would I not watch the Canucks if they started to goon it up and go out and attempt to "injure every player on Bostons roster", but I'd also be embarrassed and the cup would mean nothing. I watch hockey so I can, you know, what hockey, not watch people go out their and try to seriously injure people.
CB007
Look at the post below yours. Oh, and the Bruins don't even play the style you want the Canucks to play. The Bruins did not give every Canuck career altering injuries to send them to the hospital. I doubt even Bruins fans would cheer for Boston if they started pulling that crap--and they are already used to so much god damned goonery. BI3KSA-
That's not mentality. That's just their style. Mentality is this: Bruins' mentality: we will do whatever it takes to win. If it means running them down, slashing, elbowing injuring them whatever it might be, we'll do it. Canucks' mentality: we are so good we will play the game your way and beat you anyways. Since we weren't as tough as Boston our mentality should've been, as you said, focus on hockey. The fact that we got suck into their game implies that we DID NOT have the right mentality. I know it kind of contradicts what I as saying before. But we obviously need tough goons to play a goons game. I was strictly speaking on a theoretically level, what kind of culture I would bring if I run the team, and where I would draw the line to limit on what I would do to win (but of course for me there is no line). CB007
I wouldn't watch a team like that. Hockey is just a game and these players aren't just toys that we get to watch, they are real people with real families, that feel real pain and their injuries effect them in the real world. Winning a hockey game, or even a cup, is not worth hurting someone else intentionally.
rightasrain
Maybe, because they are bully's. I hate bully's. Mostly, because they cheat, and the refs let them. Maybe we should hate the NHL, but that is too elusive. We all know the NHL has an agenda, but until someone spills the beans, we will not know how deep it is. It is not even tangible why I hat boston, i just do. I cheered for Chicago all the way.
JimLahey
I disagree completely. The Canucks should look to injure their opponents more next year, that's how you can win a cup. I sincerely doubt any of the bruns have families that actually like them. Who could like them? Do you? Didn't think so. Game set match...
erkayloomeh
Cheats at faceoffs, dirty players, they know they can get away with murder, Campbell/Colin Campbell and the owner being part of the NHL. I absolutely hate them.
Ferlands_Head
Family are canucks season ticket holders.. i was at game 2 and 7 of the stanley cup finals lmao. I dont love the bruins but don't get me wrong, they're not one of my 'liked teams'. the hate towards them is only because of marchand's hit on salo, and the fact they they beat us. The rest is just finding reasons to hate.
