J529
I say Kesler first before Burr that is if we don't do well this year.
Guest Cuporbust2
And makes every line he's on go. Everyone in the league wants a guy like Burrows, you don't just trade him away.
Onions
I think 4.5mil cap hit was to much for him. But that was after the cap dropped.

Baggins
No you don't just trade him away. But you also don't wait until the guy is useless to trade him either. There's absolutely nothing wrong with suggesting burrows might be valuable in trade If we can get really good value for him. He's not the kind of player you dump, but is also not indispensable. There are plenty of deals out there that would be well worth burrows .Whether Mike Gillis could make that deal is another question altogether
Nino
No he's one of the Canucks that's given there all for the team and I'd like to see him retire with us.

King Heffy
Burrows easily gets $5 mil+ as a UFA. Guy is the heart of the team and trading him would be far too similar to trading Linden.
MJDDawg
The guy played for well below market value for a few years so this contract is simply paying him what he should have earned. I have no problem with Burr making this money. He's more than earned it!!!

RDA96
Is it time to trade Burrows? Burrows isn't getting any younger and he's making 4.5 mil just playing with the Sedins. I think he's a 3rd liner when he's not playing with the Sedins and I don't think he's worth 4.5 anymore.. He's almost as old as the Sedins and I think the Canucks could pick up a superior player in free agency with the space he gets (Morrow, Jagr etc) Also, the Canucks would get a pretty good asset in return... whether they add and get a top 6 winger that the Canucks have always needed, or more picks and prospects to stock the cupboard. 2 years ago I wouldn't have even thought about it, but it makes a lot of sense now. Kassian I think is ready to take his place with the Sedins and he just doesn't fit anymore with Booth still on the team. What do you think about this? King Heffy
NEVER compare Burrows to Linden.
Monteeun
And we should get rid of him because he's getting older then pick up a player even older than he is? Why aren't these dots connecting for me?
westcoast
If the team declines ,Montreal for draft picks.People have to realize retiring everyone a Canuck means finishing 30th pretty quick. Its critical to add players to the new core.
sonoman
You joined yesterday to make the most ridiculous post this week? Burrows is still a money ball player even at 4.5 He was well under paid for his first few years here. A movie should be made about his journey to Canucks stardom.
