-Vintage Canuck- Posted July 8, 2013 Share Posted July 8, 2013 Panthers sign Gilroy, Matsumoto to one-year deals: The Florida Panthers have signed defenseman Matt Gilroy and center Jon Matsumoto to one-year, two-way contracts. Gilroy, 28, has appeared in 209 NHL games, with the New York Rangers (2009-11, 2012-13), Tampa Bay Lightning (2011-12) and Ottawa Senators (2012), registering 10 goals and 46 points. He played in 15 games with the Rangers last season. Matusmoto, 26, has played in 14 NHL games with the Carolina Hurricanes (2011-12) and the Panthers (2012), recording two assists.
