GM PLACE ROCKS
it seems like contract negotiations with tanev are at a standstill..i think that it is a wiser choice to move him instead of overpaying him. I believe corrado will easily replace him and do better offensively. to edm: tanev to van: magnus paajarvi sedin-sedin-kassian burrows-kesler-paajarvi higgins-richardson-hansen sestito-gaunce-weise
Zoolander
That's a tough decision.. I don't think I'd do this trade simply because Tanev has a lot of potential he still has yet to reach, and although Paajarvi was drafted in the 1st rd, I don't think he'll ever be a consistent top 6 forward. (Just my opinion) Both have similar potential but I'll take Tanev just because of constancy. I'm also confident the Canucks and him can reach a reasonable agreement

timberz21
Paarjavi got pushed aside before Hall, RNH and Yakupov came in. Back then, the oilers werent that good at forward and he still couldnt make the team/have an impact. No thx, BUST
Apples
Not thanks. Paarjavi sucks. Tanev >>> Paarjavi
howswedeitis76
If I were going to try to get pajaarvi, I'd first try schroeder as trade bait, because Gillis wants to get bigger as well as younger, and we have Bo Horvat or Gaunce as a big(ger) center, arguably fitting better as a potential 3c. Considering that Edmonton at times has seemed leery about pajaarvi's development, a change of scenery for both might be a good deal. both players might be able to slot into the lineup easier on each other's respective team. Edit: Also, if it doesn't work out, it essentially works out to a swap of spare parts with potential.
Wiznac
I dont want to get rid of Tanev... he's been one of our most consistant D-men for the last two and added consistantancy to any line he was put on. i believe theres a lot more potential in this kid then meets the eye
